Freund/Wilbert G. and Lenora J. Freund Farm

This farm was a general livestock and crops farm until 1965, when Wilbert and Lenora built a Grade A milking facilities.  Since 1965, the family has specialized in dairying and related crops.
The first terraces wee made in 1949.  All cropland is now terraced with grassed waterways and water runoff slowing structures.
Their son, Paul, graduated from Central Missouri State University with an Agriculture Business degree in 1983, and continues with them in the dairy farm operation.  Their son, Lyle, age 12, and daughter, Marla, age 9, also actively help with the dairy farming.
