KATHERINE JOENE CLEMONS Katherine Joene Clemons, 65, Stratford, CT, formerly of Pleasant Hill and Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away October 3, 2000 at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport CT. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 10, 200 at Wallace Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Clemons was born in Holden, Missouri and had lived in Pleasant Hill and Lee's Summit and Marietta, GA before moving to Stratford, CT 28 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, James O. and Letha T. Cotter, a son, Brian D. Clemons, and a brother, William Cotter. She is survived by her husband, Jesse M. Clemons, of the home; a daughter and her husband, Lori K. and Michael Alterio, Shelton, CT; two grandsons, Michael D. and Mark D. Alterio, CT; two brothers, James Cotter, Lake Lafayette, Missouri and Gary Cotter, Belton; two sisters, Mary Thorp, Independence, and Novma McConville, Holden; and many relatives and friends. RHONDA KAY MONTEER Rhonda Kay Monteer, 32, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2000, at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. She was born November 30, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Carl A. and Charlotte (Becerra) Monteer. She has lived in Kansas City all her life. She leaves a son, Joshua William Monteer, Springfield; three brothers, Carl Mitchell Monteer, Holden, Vernie Gene Monteer and Richard Lee Monteer, both of Springfield; and one sister, Doreen Monteer, Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 9, 2000 at Holden Cemetery under the direction of Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Wayne Bond, 57, Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Holden, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2000, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, Missouri. He was born Monday, February 22, 1943, in Windsor, Missouri, the son of Chester E. and Nina Margueriete Kampe Bond. He was a Holden High School graduate. On November 16, 1962, he married Patty Fleener in Holden, Missouri. He had been a maintenance man and welder for Swisher Mower, R.B. Rice, and Stahl Specialty Co. He had lived in Sedalia for nine years. He is survived by his wife, Patty, of the home; one daughter, Kandi Alewine and husband, Randy, Oak Grove; two sons, David Bond, Sedalia, and Chester Bond, and wife, Sara, 29 Palms, CA; 13 grandchildren; his mother, Margueriete Kinney, Windsor; maternal grandmother, Alice Kampe, Clinton; three sisters, Helen Allen, Holden, Ann Kallenberger and husband Milo, Hardin, and Linda Stoneking, and husband Dale, Blue Springs; two brothers, Clayton Bond and wife Karen, and Terry Bond and wife, Terry, both of Warrensburg. HAMILTON Herbert B. Hamilton, 77, Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 30, 2000, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, MO. He was born Thursday, May 17, 1923, in Lucerne, Missouri, the son of John A. and Gustava Hamilton. He married Lorene "Pat" Hamilton and she preceded him in death on February 8, 1946. He was with the 63rd group 1st Troop carrier command and attained the rank of Corporal. He was a tool and die maker, and retired from Summit Engineering, Lee's Summit, Missouri in the late 1970's. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Eldon, Missouri. He is survived by one step daughter, Sunny Lou Schultz, Columbia, Missouri; one son, Basil Hamilton and wife Beth, Republic, Missouri; two grandchildren; five step grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and five step great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Friday, November 3, 2000 at Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett, Missouri, under the direction of Williams Funeral Chapel, Holden. Rev. Gerald Nelson officiated. JOHN EDWARD "EDDIE" RIDGE John Edward Ridge, 67, Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at the VA Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born in Warrensburg, Missouri, on December 22, 1932, the son of Charles Edward Ridge and Leota S. Snow Ridge. On September 10, 1960 in Lees's Summit, Missouri, he married Betty Slater. She survives of the home. Mr. Ridge was a graduate of Warrensburg High School and spent most of his life living in Warrensburg. He was a veteran, serving during the Korea War in the United States Air Force. He worked as a machinist. Survivors include his wife Betty Ridge; a daughter, Robin Smith, Branson, MO; two sons, Robert Edward Ridge, Warrensburg and Bobby Gene Ridge, Lebanon, MO; a brother, Gene Ridge, Lee's Summit; a sister, Kathleen Long, Denver, CO; his mother, Leota Ridge, Warrensburg; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 4, 2000 at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg. The Reverend Renee Curtis officiated. Interment was at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All arrangements were under the direction of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg. DONALD LEROY SEALS Donald LeRoy Seals, 76, Kingsville, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 3, 2000 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born August 4, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Joseph and Martha (Brown) Seals. On June 25, 1944 he married Mary Kathryn Brown in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Seals worked ten years for Trans World Airlines as a grounds crew chief. He was a milk truck driver for Bill Hobbs of Kingsville for several years. He also drove a school bus for the Kingsville School District. He retired from Stahl Specialty Company after five years working in the maintenance department. He was a member of the AARP. Surviving his passing are his wife, Mary Kathryn Seals, of the home; one daughter, Barbara Jean Tardy, Leeton; one sister, Lucille McCarthy, Butler; and two grandchildren, Gevin Carson, Warrensburg, and Tosha Harrison, Grandview. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dean Seals, and a daughter, Donna Kay Seals. Funeral services were held Monday, November 6, 2000 at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden. The Reverend Richard Morris officiated. Virginia Thurman, soloist, was accompanied by Julie Stout, organist. Music included, "Amazing Grace," and "In The Garden." Pallbearers were Gevin Carson, Walt Harrison, Les Tardy, Jim Henry, John Van Gordon, and Stan Curtright. Interment was at Kingsville Cemetery, Kingsville, Missouri.
