STANLEY WILLARD STOUT Stanley Willard Stout, 66, Holden, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2001 at his home in Holden. He was born February 8, 1934 near Holden, Missouri, the son of Eugene Willard and Effie Josephine (Shore) Stout. He had lived in Illinois before moving to the Latour and Holden area in 1971. Mr. Stout worked as a farmer for several years and had an interest in stamp collecting. He was a member of the Latour Presbyterian Church, Latour. He was also in the U.S. Army from 1956-1957. He will be greatly missed by his family. Survivors include four sons, Steve Stout, Independence, Roy Stout, Los Angeles, CA; Brian Stout, Olathe, KS; and Eric Alen Stout, Holden; one daughter, Cindy Cruwell, Holden; three brothers, Sam Stout, Latour; John Stout, Harrisonville, and Raymond Stout, Kingsville; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Stout, in 1986, and one brother, Roy Stout. Funeral services were held Monday, February 5, 2001 at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden. Reverend Henry Gower officiated. Pallbearers were Eric Stout, Bill Murphy, Jim Bryant, Roy Stout, Chris McBride,k and Tom Meads. Interment was at Holden Cemetery, with military honors presented by the Holden VFW Post #5844 and American Legion Post 90. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stanley Stout Memorial Fund. MURRAY LEONDAS ELLISTON Murray Leondas Elliston, 80, Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2001 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born May 3, 1920 in Holden, Missouri the son of Grover Cleveland and Goldie Beatrice (Cunningham) Elliston. He was a 1937 graduate of Holden High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After the war Mr. Elliston became an inspector for General Dynamics Aircraft Company in San Diego, CA. He retired and moved to Independence, Missouri in the early 1980s. He had lived in Warsaw since 1988. On May 4, 1996 he married the former Addie Nadine Shackelford in Forsythe, Missouri. Together they were entertainers and musicians and performed at senior centers, fish frys, reunions, and dances. He leaves his wife, Addie, of the home; one son, Frank Paul, Jr., Warsaw; six daughters, Sherryl Ann Stockdale, Knob Noster, Berneta Carolyn DeLuna, Quarterlain, ID, Audrey Elvern Lee, Warsaw, Connie Sue Begshaw, State of Washington, Wanda Lee Ross, Summersot , PA, and Ruby Maxine Smith, Ft. Scott, IA; two sisters, Clara Howe, Windsor, and Betty Wilson, Independence; 22 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral service were held Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden. Reverend Sam Hinkle officiated. Music included "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Have Thine Own Way Lord." Interment was at Holden Cemetery.
