Relna Noble Hall Relna Noble Hall, 93, of Venice, California, passed away December 5, 2000, at Country Villa South Nursing Center, Los Angeles, CA after a brief illness. She was born in Holden, the daughter of Draper L. and Jennie M. Noble. She had lived in California since 1943, except for a year in the late 1950s when she returned to Holden to care for her ailing parents. She was a member of the Holden Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Patsy Lou and Norma Lee Richardson; brothers, William D. Noble, Leawood, KS, and James R. Noble, Caldwell, Idaho. She is survived by her brother, John D. Noble and his wife, Betty of New Bern, NC; sisters-in-law, Della Noble of Leawood, KS and Gertrude Noble of Caldwell, Idaho; five nieces; three nephews; and eleven grand nieces and nephews. Frank Marshall Windsor Frank Marshall Windsor, 93, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, formerly of Kingsville and Holden, passed away Friday, May 11, 2001, at Pleasant Hill Health Care Center, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. He was born Wednesday, March 11, 1908, in Johnson County, Missouri, the son of John and Alma Dishman Windsor. Frank was a 1925 Holden High school graduate. On November 27, 1935 he married Anita Nell Dock in Warrensburg, Missouri. He was a dairy farmer for over 40 years. He moved to Holden from the farm north of Kingsville in 1983 and to Pleasant Hill in 1998. Frank was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include three nieces, Carol Sevy, Climax Springs, Lois Carson and Norma Duncan, both of Pleasant Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife on February 12, 1998 and one brother, Clifford Windsor in December of 1962. Funeral services were held Monday, May 14, 2001 at Williams Funeral Chapel, Holden. Rev. Bill Simmer officiated. Pallbearers were Jim Duncan, Tony Norvell, Sonny Rutherford, Charlie McCarty, John Berry, Jeremy Berry, and Cody Norvell. Interment was at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, north of Kingsville. Memorial contributions are suggested to Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association. C. Merlin Shimel C. Merlin Shimel, 73, Kingsville, Missouri, passed away May 10, 2001, at Research Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1927 in Holden, Missouri, the son of Floyd and Alma Head Shimel. On September 29, 1949 he married Wilma D. Lyons at the Baptist parsonage in Lone Jack, Missouri. Merlin lived in Holden prior to his family moving to Strasburg while he was in the eighth grade. He spent his entire lifetime in the Holden-Kingsville- Strasburg area. He graduated from the Strasburg High School in 1945. He then served in the US Army from 1945 until 1947. He was a well known area dairyman and farmer. He was an active member, deacon, Sunday school teacher of the Strasburg Baptist Church. He was in the men's brotherhood at the church and he was also a Gideon. He leaves his wife, Wilma D. Shimel, of the home; his son, Charlie and his wife, Suzy, Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Cecelia Schmitt and her husband Steve, Liberty, MO, and Carolyn Miller and her husband Jeff of Strasburg; his brother, Berl Shimel and his wife Essie of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; his sister, Vivian Groom, Holden; six grandchildren, Chad, Angie, Tami, Brett, Kyle, and Hanna. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Stanley & Son Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. Rev. Jim Richard officiated. Pallbearers were Lee Boyd, Glen V. Adams, Johnnie W. McClinton, Bruce Hooper, C.H. Sprinkles, Jim Nichols, Ray Parris. Interment was at Strasburg Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to the Merlin Shimel Memorial Fund at the Strasburg Baptist Church. Betty Joe "B.J." Brammeier Betty Joe "B.J." Brammeier, 56, Holden, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 11, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Brammeier was born Tuesday, June 27, 1944, the daughter of Ralleigh Mitchell and Vernilla Roberts Mitchell. She was a 1962 Belton High School graduate and had attended Patricia Stevens Finishing School in Kansas City. Mrs. Brammeier had lived southwest of Holden for the last ten years. She had been a homemaker most of her life and just recently she had been a cashier at the Wal-Mart store in Harrisonville. On October 20, 1979 she married Paul E. Brammeier in Kansas City and he survives of the home. Also surviving is a son, Timothy Eugene Martin, Kansas City; her father, Ralleigh Mitchell, Cross Timbers; two sisters, Jan Mitchell, Peculiar, and Pam Bartley, Liberty; two brothers, Ron and Rick Mitchell, Cross Timbers. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vernilla Mitchell in August 1994. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Williams Funeral Chapel, Holden. Rev. Robert Sims officiated. Music was by Jerry and Pat DeMonbrun. Pallbearers were Jerry DeMonbrun, Glen Helm, Paul Vickers, Bill Mitchell, Jody Dealy, and Clyde Hicks. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery.
