Mary Lucille Wilkinson Mary Lucille Wilkinson, 81, of Holden, (formerly of Kingsville), passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at Bristol Manor in Holden. Mrs. Wilkinson was born Sunday, October 5, 1919 in Laredo, MO, the daughter of John Clark and Elsie Lewis Clark. She graduated from Laredo High School in 1938 and had been a waitress for many area restaurants including Wilson's Cafe in Warrensburg. She married Joseph A. Miles in 1938 and he preceded her in death, and married Dale Wilkinson in 1952 and he preceded her in death April 1967. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Christian and husband Jerry, Clinton; son, Jim Thomas and wife Deloris, Kansas City, MO; a brother, Victor Clark, Wichita, KS; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Anderson and Daisy Moore; and one brother Ivan Clark. Graveside services were held Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Elm Spring Cemetery, Elm, MO, under the direction of Williams Funeral Chapel, Holden. Rev. John McRoy officiated. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation of Western Missouri. Vera Mae Schroeder Vera Mae Schroeder, 71, of Knob Noster, MO, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2001 at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City. Mrs. Schroeder was born Saturday, April 26, 1930 near Centerview, MO, the daughter of William McKinley Kuhlman and Clara B. Swope Kuhlman. She had lived in Johnson County, MO all her life. She graduated from Concordia High School in 1949 and received her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate from the Warrensburg Medical Center and later worked at the Good Shepherd Home in Concordia. Mrs. Schroeder was a member of the Concordia Baptist Church, Church Choir and had taught Sunday School. She was also a member of Club 50 Extension Club, which is now Town & Country Club, for over 45 years. On November 15, 1952 in Warrensburg, she married Edgar F. Schroeder. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul E. Schroeder on December 15, 1975. Survivors include a son, David W. Schroeder and wife Kathy, Knob Noster; a sister, Doris Schroeder, Knob Noster; and two grandchildren, Timothy P. Schroeder and Katie Marie Schroeder, both of Knob Noster, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Concordia Baptist Church, under the direction of Williams Funeral Chapel, Warrensburg. Pastor Mike Schroeder and Deacon Dale Pollard officiated. Organist was Carol Borgstadt. Music was provided by the Concordia Baptist Church Choir. Pallbearers were Dave Adney, Danny Everts, Marion Lee Baldwin, Dale Pollard, Bill Bell, and Kenneth Kuhlman. Interment was Knob Noster Cemetery, Knob Noster, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Vera Mae Schroeder memorial fund. Genelle I. Franklin Genelle I. Franklin, 80, Overland Park, KS (formerly of Centerview, MO), passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at her home. Mrs. Franklin was born Saturday, July 2, 1921 near Centerview, the daughter of George O'Connor and Eulah McCoy O'Connor. She was a 1939 College High School graduate, Warrensburg, and had been an active member of Westport Presbyterian Church in Kansas City. On November 8, 1941 in Knob Noster she married Thomas E. Franklin. He survives of the home. Also surviving are two sons, Eldon Gene Franklin and wife Judy of Honolulu, Hawaii and Larry Franklin and wife Vicki of Lee's Summit; one nephew, Terry O'Connor, Joplin; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, August 13, 2001 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg. Interment will be in the Knob Noster Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Westport Presbyterian Church Computer School.
