Most of the emails I get, have to do with something that is available for you here.
Unless noted, I put everything I have on these pages .... and so, click around and try and find what you're looking for before emailing me.

Knox County Mailing List     It's here!

You can subscribe to you're Knox County list in mail mode by sending a message
to MOKNOX-L-request@rootsweb.com that contains the word   subscribe    and nothing else.  If you prefer digest mode, you should send the command instead to MOKNOX-D-request@rootsweb.com.  To unsubscribe, you should send the command "unsubscribe" to MOKNOX-L-request@rootsweb.com (if in mail mode) or MOKNOX-D-request@rootsweb.com (if in digest mode.)  To switch from one mode to the other, you should unsubscribe from one and then subscribe to the other.  There is no "no mail" mode -- if you want messages to stop, you should simply unsubscribe.  (Note for AOL users, if you must put something in the subject line, just type "subscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line as well.)

To post to both MOKNOX-L and MOKNOX-D, messages should be sent to MOKNOX-L@rootsweb.com. Messages sent there will appear both places.  Use this email to send to the list.  It will send an email to everyone subscribed.  The list is not very active but has about 120 people signed up.

My name is Claudia Minor and I am the coordinator of Knox County for The MOGenWeb Project.
The Knox County MOGenWeb project is non-profit (meaning we all do this on our own time for free) and the information that is contained on these pages is provided as a free service to you.   You  are encouraged to use the information contained in the Knox County MOGenWeb project to help you or others with your genealogical research.   However, you MAY NOT sell any of the information contained here.

Like many of you, my ancestors once lived in Knox County.  I do not live in Knox County (and never have).   My home town was Kirksville and I am now living in Blue Springs, MO.   My GGG Grandfather Beverly Lewis Minor and wife Sarah (Routt) from Pendleton Co, KY with kids John, Richard (my GG Grandfather wife, Katherine J. Scott), James, Gideon, George R, Linda Catherine & Pauline, came to Knox Co in March 1857 and settled Fabius Twsp.   My G Grandfather, William T. Minor (wife, Hannah Malissa Haldeman) and his son James E. "Jay" Minor from LaBelle, MO (wife, Geneva Winifer Jones - from Macon County), moved to Adair County.

You think I would put a picture of me at 55? *giggle*
This is me, at what seems like YESTERDAY, age 27.
