I am searching for family history information on Arthur Lee Young born July 3 1885 in Laclede County son of Joseph T. and Margret Merchant Young. He married Nettie Conn in Lebanon on July 20 1907 and mover to Saline County in 1934 and died on July 21 1965. They had two sons, James Vohn and Roy, two daughters, Lavetta and Louise all passed on. I would like to know the location of the farm they lived on. Any information on the family would be of help.

I would like to contact anyone researching the surnames Hickmanm, Phaby, or Pheby. My grandmother Clara Phaby's death certificate says she was born 2 Feb 1883 in Lebanon, daughter of Harris Hickman probably William H. Hickman, and a woman named Cook probably Margaret or Maggie Cook. The 1880 Missouri census shows the William H. Hickman family living in Laclede County. An LDS IGI record shows a Clarrie Hickman born to William Hickman and Margaret Cook Sep 1880 in Arkansas. My gggrandfather John Pheby and Mary Ann Henry homsteaded land in Laclede County in the late 1860s but John died and Mary Ann and family left Laclede County for Arkansas sometime in the 1870s. Clara and and John Phaby (the way Pheby was spelled later), grandson of John Pheby and Mary Ann Henry met and married in Baxter County, Arkansas. I would appreciate any help in resolving the discrepancy in where Clara was born...and any info at all on the Hickman or Phaby/Pheby families. Lawson Phaby

Surnames: HAMPTON HUGHART FITZSIMMONS BAXTER

Am looking for Mary Catherine HAMPTON believed to be, but not confirmed, the daughter of Frank HAMPTON and Sally BAXTER. She is believed to have been born in Laclede Co. or at least lived there for several years before moving to AR. Do not have exact dates but believe Mary would have been born between 1840 and 1850. This Frank HAMPTON was killed in the Civil war at Brandystation, VA, June 9, 1863. I believe that Frank's father was Wade HAMPTON II who was married to Ann FITZSIMMONS. Mary Catherine married William H. HUGHART about 1864.

Thomas Henry Brookshire, s/o Josiah D Brookshire of Phelps Co MO was made a ward of John H Robertson (Thomas & his brother William Jesse Brookshire ran away from home because they did not get along with their stepmother). 1870 census, Laclede County MO, Osage Twp, #143, Thomas, 16, is listed a laborer in the household of John H Robertson, 63, farmer. In 1880 census, Laclede County MO, FRanklin, John H Robertson, 73, is listed as a physician. (An elderly family member told me that one of the Brookshire brothers lived with a doctor.) Have not been able to find Thomas Henry Brookshire in the 1880 census, but in 1910 he is in the census for Laclede County MO, Franklin Twp, #13, age 55, with wife Margie and son Albert W, 22. Thomas' brother Wm Jesse married Mary Louisa Jane Perry, who in 1870 census was living with Rebecca Lowry, 70, in Smith Twp, Pine Creek. Other Perry families are in Laclede County - connection unknown. Mary Perry's father was named "Jack," according to family. Both Thomas and William Jesse Brookshire married around 1875, in MO somewhere. Any info appreciated.
