Whereas, our Heavenly Father in his infinite wisdom has seen best to call from this earthly home to everlasting rest in that Heavenly Home above, Sister Mary Haworth, who departed this life July 31, 1924.
Therefore be it
Resolved by the Oak Grove Baptist Church that we feel deeply our loss, and words are inadequate to fully express our loss, and words are inadequate to fully express our appreciation of Sister Haworth's faithful service for the Church. We will miss so much her Loyal Support, and the cheering words encouraging us to do greater work for God's Kingdom. We will miss the kindly smile and friendly hand clasp. The aged husband has lost a loving and faithful wife and the children a kind and true mother.
She has passed away, but the influence of a true Christian mother lives on. We extend our sympathy to the aged companion and the children. May they feel "that the best will is our Father's will," and that Heaven is nearer because Mother is there. Let us be remindful that--
"When we meet beyond the river
In that city bright and fair,
We will sing God's praise forever
With our loved ones over there;
In that blessed, Holy City
We will never weep nor sigh;
There the flowers bloom forever
And they never fade nor die."
Done by order and in behalf of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Aug. 17, 1924.
