James M. Morris says that to the best of his knowledge and belief the names of the heirs of the said Burril Morris deceased and their places of residence are as follows to wit: Mary Elizabeth Colbert formerly Morris, Lucy L. Morris, Elzira Morris, Elbridge D. Morris, Manerva A. Nelson, Nancy Jane Nelson, minor children of Amanda F. Nelson formerly Morris and this affidant James M. Morris, who reside in the County of Lawrence, in the State of Missouri, Martha L. Dill formerly Morris who resides in the county of Scott in the State of Arkansas, & William Morris who resided about ten years ago in the County of Warren in this State, that the said Burril Morris died without a will, that he will make a perfect inventory of and faithfully adminstrate all of the estate of the deceased and pay the debts as far as the assets will extend and the law directs and account for and pay assets which shall come to his prossion or knowledge. *Letters written from Timothy while in Kansas to Elizra Morris at Pierce City, and written by Elizra in answer. Land purchased Jan 8, 1885, in Barry co MO. from Geo. W. Kirk and wife Mary J. Kirk where the 3 boys were born and attended Horner school where Timothy was a board member. They moved to Newton co Feb 1901 where Timothy died 31 July 1901. Elizra raised the boys at this farm. Probate records show the 3 boys inherited 1/6 interest each in land owned in Lawrence co Mo. Timothy and Eliza are buried at Pierce City Mo. cemetery near his father William Camp Cole and 2nd wife Elizabeth. Land deeds show land in Lawrence co was purchased from brother Thomas A. Cole who had purchased it from their sister Elizra A. Miller and husband Jacob. This land was near land owned by William Camp Cole.

*Obit, 11/31/1946, Unknown paper: A.B. Cole dies. Death Follows Mishap at Diamond in Which He Was Struck by a Car. Carthage, Mo., Jan 30-----Alphus Butler Cole, 60 years old, Farmer, whose home was on Granby Route 1, died at 3:15 o'clock this afternoon in Stone Memorial Hospital, where he was taken last Friday night following an accident in Diamond. Cole was struck by a motor car driven by Lieutenant Klye Christie of Camp Crowder, as he was crossing the highway in Diamond, according to members of the state highway patrol. He was born in Cassville, July 18, 1885, and had resided on Granby rt 1, for the last 45 years. He was married in Joplin May 10, 1910, to Miss Irene Armstrong, who survives, He was a member of the Church of Christ, east of Diamond. Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs Harold Jeffers of Neosho, and Mrs William Ferguson of Joplin; one son, Gerald Cole, who is with the U.S. Navy, stationed in New London, Conn; two brothers, Asa Cole of Oklahoma City, and Truman Cole of Stark City, Mo. The body was removed to the Ulmer Funeral Home.

*Obit, 30 Jun 1982, Unknown paper: Julia Cole. Julia Cole, 86, Stewart Apartments, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a short illness. Mrs. Cole was born June 9, 1896, at Richburg, N.Y. She had lived in the Neosho area her entire lifetime and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Her husband Truman Cole, died May 2, 1966. Surviving is a daughter, Neva Williams, Neosho; two son's, Glenn Cole, Newtonia, and Robert Cole, Goldendale, Wash.; a brother Leslie Ryno, Diamond; a sister, Dorothy Hill, Nokomas, Fla.., 10 grandchildren and several g-grandchildren. Services will be at 10;30 A.M. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Neosho, with the Rev. Leon Riddle officiating. Burial will be in the Diamond Cemetery under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Pallbearers will be Jerry Cole, Ronald D. Cole, David Cole, Alan Williams, Dennis Williams, and Vic Franks. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
