Jennifer, a professional genealogist, teacher, published author and lecturer, received her Diploma in Family History Research, Professional Research Option in 1996 from Brigham Young University. She writes a genealogy column for The Enterprise newspaper in which she includes book reviews for Heritage Books, Inc. of Baltimore, MD and the National Archives of Great Britain. 

She is Editor of the Martin County Historical Society (MCHS) Newsletter; a member of the Executive Board of the MCHS; past President, Publications Chair and Editor of the newsletter of the Martin County Genealogical Society (MCGS); past President & Registrar of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Theodore Hassell Chapter, #437, Williamston NC and past Treasurer of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Manassas, VA. 

Jennifer has received numerous awards for her family histories, newsletters and newspaper articles. Her biography was published in Who’s Who of American Women 2007.
