From Roberta Estes:
Copyrights Jan 2011
The earliest laws of Virginia are recorded in Hening's Statutes at Large. If you recall, initially NC was part of Virginia. Recently these books have been transcribed and posted on the internet, thankfully. There are many volumes. I'm going through each one and extracting anything having to do with Indians. I'm doing a search on the word, "Indian". The person who did the transcribing also did the margin notes as well and added an index. What a large job.
