Living person tested:

Father:

 Bowen b. August 20, 1919 Taft, Lincoln Co.,Tennessee m Mother Hill b. September 09, 1932 , Whitley Co., Kentucky

his father:
Walter Edward Bowen b. June 11, 1880 Franklin Co, Tennessee m Myrtle Thomas b.October 09, 1884 Bedford Co., Tennessee

his father:
Daniel Bowen b. 1818 Franklin Co., Tennessee m Nancy Etheridge b. 1840 Franklin Co., Tennessee

his father:
*James Boren ? Bowen b. Abt. 1773 Alabama or Georgia [I believe in Indians Lands] m Mary J [??McClure??] b. 1782 South Carolina

his father:
Unknown maybe Cooper??? [judging by dna results] b. unknown m Unknown [was she a boren, bowen, boring???

(NOTE HERE: The YDNA results for this person match the Cooper Surname test results.)

*James Bowen b.Abt. 1773 is the brick wall. We do not match the BOWEN DNA. I find his descendants listed as Brown, Boren and Bowen. I thought it was because so many people were illiterate. Looking at the 1820 and 1830 census I had for James' family I found the ages of the children were all wrong so I do not know where they were in 1820 and 1830. The information from land records the first in 1824 lists James as James Boren. After his death his widow is listed as Mary Boren in 1840.
