Nicholes - Nicholles - Nicholas - Nicholls - Nichols - Nicols Research File

Nicholls, Phillip -- Drake's 1586 West Indian Voyage, stopped at Roanoke
Nicholes, William -- 1587 Colonist roster
Nichols, John -- 1587 Governor assistant but according to source did not remain at the Roanoke Colony.
Nicholas, FNU -- Families of Interest
Nicols, FNU -- Families of Interest

From Roberta Estes:

Lost Colonist William Nicholes may have been a tailor. A "clothworker" of that name was married in London in 1580 and in 1590 we find the grant of a license to someone else "to occupy the trade of a clothier during the minority of George Nicholles, son of Wm. Nicholles."
