Parents John STEDMAN (b. 1820's, Ohio) and Nancy KELLY STEDMAN traveled there with other families from southeastern Ohio (including Samuel and Esther KELLY and John and Elizabeth KELLY), and their four young children:
Mary Stedman married William D. BAKER (c.1877--1920's?) and had one child,
Rosa BAKER, in around 1878, before Mary died at age 24. Rosa, who was still
alive in 1928, seems to have married a man named JOLLY or FOLLY in about
1898, and had two sets of twins, as well as a son named Willie JOLLY or
FOLLY, who were all also still alive in 1928. I would love to know more about
this family if anyone knows anything. I can send a photograph of them if
interested.
Though John, Mary, and George Stedman all appear to have died in the Bucklin
area within ten years or so of each other, I know nothing more of any
evidence of the family there than the fact that Nancy Stedman is buried in
the "Old Bucklin Cemetery," though her husband is not beside her. Does anyone
know of a grave for John or George Stedman, or Mary Stedman Baker, or William
D. Baker?
Most of my information comes from old family letters and photographs and the
1870 census.
If you know anything more about any of these people, I would be glad to hear
it, and glad to share anything I know if you happen to have a connection with
any of the above. The letters and photos are very interesting!

Lewis Oswald KNAPP m. Adella French Raymond (b. 7/1/1862 in Yates Co.
NY) 7/1/1879(?) most probably in Linn Co. MO.
Their Children:
The other children of Adam & Louisa KNAPP I really don't have any
information on however, Frances either married or died in Linn Co. MO
between 1870-1880 because she was not listed in 1880 Census Linn Co.
however, had been listed in 1870 Census; I am sure the other children
went to whatever schooling they had in Linn Co. Adam KNAPP died
10/25/1878 in Linn Co MO. Adam KNAPP had property and was a farmer,
when he died his wife Louisa took over. In the 1870 and 1880 Census
Linn Co. listed the township as Locust Creek. Does anyone recognize any
of these names? I am curious as to father and mother names for Adam
KNAPP. Did he have any siblings? What professions did his children or
grandchildren have? Who did Frances KNAPP marry? What did they grow "as
farmers"? Was it sold to townfolk, or just for the family? I would
like any information that might be available. Thank you in advance.
Jeanne.

Roxanne [Roxy] Howell m. Benjamin Bradshaw HANCOCK. They lived in Hopkins - later Webster Co - KY & are buried there. B. B. Hancock had some brothers who also went from Hopkins Co KY to MO ... names, date & place unknown.
They were accompanied by - or joined by - Frances' brother George SLATON
[1829-1889]. It is thought that George left Hopkins Co in 1867. George later moved to Georgetown, TX where he was listed as "hotel keeper" in 1880 Census; he was a resident there at the time of his death, but did not die there. He died while visiting family near Meadville, MO, at the home of his nephew Lilburn. The body was returned to his home in TX for burial.
Although our family has information on the family in KY & VA, we know nothing of the ones who went to MO. Any help greatly appreciated. TIA.

I am looking for possible proof that Mary Karinak SEABOLT daughter of
Wayman SEABOLT and Margaret GILLESPIE was born in Linn County on 1 July 1858.
There is a delayed entry in the Smyth Co. Va birth book but she lists Linn
Co. Mo. on her marriage certificate. Wondering if Wayman and Margaret were
there in 1858. They were in Kansas in 1869 . Any information on the
SEABOLT family would be helpful.
