BAKER/TURNER: 20 February 2006. Lois Roensch, my cousin
died. I never did hear of her death and would like to have that for my

I found in the census of Lynn Co, MO that Rhoda Baker was living with her

there any of Ailey

GUILLET, Peter Phoecian: 03 June 2005. Peter Phoecian Guillet was born 1834 in Somerset County, Maryland.
His father was Pierre Guillet, and his mother was Mary Jane Porter. My ancestors
are buried in the Pleasant Park Cemetery
in Carroll County, MO. We are lacking death and burial info
on my great-great grandfather's brother Phoecian. I have a letter written by
him from Marceline in 1910. I also have a copy of a letter with the date May
4th (no year) stating that he was in Marceline, and not expected to live
through the night. I am unable to find a death certificate, and wondered
about how to access church parish records in the area of Marceilne. I believe
he was in the business of livestock broker, and died around 1912. I also
believe he is buried in the Pleasant
Park Cemetery,
but that his name on the marker has eroded away. I would appreciate any
guidance or info you could share with me. I live in Bountiful, Utah.

HALE

from at least 1880. John and Assenith Shane HALE
resided in Ray Village, Oakland Twp that year,

children were: Lulu, Walter H, Frederick B, Daisy, Nellie, Josephine WADE, and
Grace GAUGH, who, as the youngest
child, was adopted by a family named RIMBY after her mother's death. The
parents of Assenith SHANE Hale, moved from TN to Adams Co, IL; then several
members apparently moved to Linn

JONES’ of Laclede:
22 April 2007: I have
just turned 60 years old, and will be walking from Aurora,
Illinois to the Golden Gate Bridge
starting this May. I will be walking
through Laclede the first part of June. Would enjoy meeting people from
that area who could inform me of the History.
My Grandmother was Eva Jones (1879-1976) from Laclede.
She had (3) brothers: J. Paul, Max, and Carl (Carlton?)
Eva Jones was the daughter of May Jones (1865-1911) and Hortense M. (nee Carothers) Jones
(1860-1939). Eva married my grandfather John H. Armbruster somewhere
between 1905 and 1908. Karl
Jones (1884-1960’s) was the only member of the family that remained in
Laclede his entire life. The parents
of May Jones were: Carlton (1817-1899) and Nancy (nee Gaines) Jones (1825-1864).
They had a farm called "The Oaks". Is there a
Historical Society that would have information?
I hope that I
can visit with some people that might remember any of the Jones clan and am
particularly interested in finding the family farm which I believe is north
of Laclede and was known as "The Oaks" Jim

They had five children: (1) Goldie Newman married ?
Call; (2) John Floyd Newman married twice Pauline
Hudson & Louise Burton; (3) Reta Newman married ? Hainds; (4) Female

am searching for the cemetery record of Stella May Robinson born 1882 in Pike County Mo. She was enumerated
with her father, Cyrus M Robinson
on the 1900 Linn County, Benton Twp. Census. Also enumerated in the household
were two siblings. I believe she first married Andrew
J Hassler, also enumerated
in Linn Co, Benton twsp in 1900. She did have at least one child, Bernard
Dana, born in 1905. Stella second married Charles
E Williams September 2, 1908 in
Wyandotte County Ks and they had one daughter, Opal born July 1909 in KCMO.
Stella died August 25, 1911 in KCMO and according to the KCMO obit and her
death certificate, she was buried at Browning, MO. Stella's Death Certificate
indicates her father was Cyrus M. Robinson and mother Elizabeth Miles.
I have noted a 'Sarah E Robinson' 1861-1895 buried in the Hoover Cemetery
not far from Browning ( Sullivan County) I am trying
to determine 3 things:
1) Was
Sarah E Robinson's maiden name 'Elizabeth Miles'?
2) Is
Stella May (nee Robinson) Williams buried in Hoover Cemetery? and
3) Is there
an obit or some other source of information that I can determine the name of
Stella and Andrew Hassler's other child. The KCMO obit shows the name of her
first child as 'ijin', which appears to be a misspelling.
Any help
will be appreciated! Contact Linda at basketshow@sbcglobal.net.

SUMMERS, Samuel, Sr., family: 15 January 2008: I'm researching the family
of Samuel Sumner Sr. who was born in North Carolina about 1786
according to 1850 and 1860 census records in Yellow Creek Township, Linn
County, Missouri. His wife was Sarah Jane Clark born about 1790 in NC.
Samuel died in Dec. of 1863 in Linn Co., MO according to his will from the
MO State Archives. Sarah and six children are listed in his will. I don't
know when or where Sarah died. I'd like to know the county/counties in NC
where Samuel and Sarah came from and who their parents were. They also
lived in KY, IN, and MO according to census records. Other family names
associated with these Sumners are Clark, Moore, Tremain, McClintock, Cunningham,
Hedrick, Hill, Nay, Morris, Cloud, Bailey, Edgar, and sometimes Howard. Thank
you for any help and/or information to trade. Paulette. You may

SUMMERS, Greenberry: 31 December
2006: “am looking for information on Greenberry
Summers in the Enterprise Township. I found the following
information on the Internet and would like to know more about Mr.
Summers, who we believe is a distant relative. A
Directory of Towns, Villages, and Hamlets
Past and Present of Linn
Co., Missouri
ENTERPRISE
TOWNSHIP This township can be considered
the baby of Linn County. It was next to the last organized. It was made
out of Benton and a portion of Baker Townships. No general rule was
observed, and it not only lies in two sections, but even divides
sections. It was organized August 20, 1860, and enlarged February 20,
1870. For a wonder the township line dividing Sections 59 and 60 is its
southern boundary (evidently Townships 59 and 60 is meant), but to compensate this unheard
of good sense, its western boundary divides the section from its south to
north line. Sections 10 15, 22, 27 and 34 are divided, one half being in
Benton Township and the other half in Enterprise. North is Sullivan
County, south is Grantsville Township, and this last township was the
last organized, though there was really no use for either.
Enterprise
Township was settled about the same time that other portions of the north
part of the county were settled, which was in 1838, 1839, and 1840. Among
the first pioneers who made their homes was Greenberry Summers, who
came from Indiana in October, 1839, and settled on Section 24, Township
60, Range 20. Thank
you for any help you can give me.

October 2005: Samuel Carpenter White was born to Samuel White and Maria Louisa Royer White about 1835 in Lancaster County,
