Excalibar Commandry No. 5, Knights Templar, was instituted March 20, 1865. The charter bears date May 16, A. D. 1865, A. 0. 747. The present membership is 54. Owing to the burning of' the records some years since, the names of the first officers and charter members of this commandery cannot be given.
