The 3rd Monroe County Courthouse was built in 1912.  The dome, with clock faces, is the last domed courthouse built in Missouri.

Research Center

  • Our Research Center housing genealogy and history resources opens April 21, 2007 in the former Paris R-II school building, now the Paris City Office building. The facilty also contains our business office and is at 112 South Main, Room #5, in Paris, Missouri.
  • Browse or Search our temporary catalog of holdings
  • Our hours effective April 24, 2007 are:
    Tuesday through Friday from 11am to 4pm
    Additional hours with prior arrangement
  • Turn east from Main Street onto Locust Street to access parking, enter through north door of Paris City Office Building. Research Center is on main floor in Room #5.
