Cole Diggs and his wife Jane Diggs, Melvinia F. Diggs, their daughter, Henry l. Diggs, their son, Mattie McDaniel their great granddaughter- they were married in Kentucky Feb 10 1820, emigrated to Missouri in 1822, settled in Montgomery County where they remained until death. They were true to integrity and faithful in the dischage of duty. They served the God of Heaven hence death had no terror for them"
