• Diggs, Jane [Pace, dau.of Rev. John Pace of Va]- born Madison County,KY- Sept 25 1799- died July 2 1873- married in Ky- Came to Montgomery County ca. 1822.

• Diggs, Henry L.- Mar 16 1840- Oct 14 1864 [ " Henry L. Diggs ..shot down and killed near the sidewalk"... at Danville- History of St. Charles, Montgomery and Warren Counties, Missouri - page 648]

• Cole Diggs and his wife Jane Diggs, Melvinia F. Diggs, their daughter, Henry l. Diggs, their son, Mattie McDaniel their great granddaughter- they were married in Kentucky Feb 10 1820, emigrated to Missouri in 1822, settled in Montgomery County where they remained until death. They were true to integrity and faithful in the dischage of duty. They served the God of Heaven hence death had no terror for them"
