Mrs. Harry Stewart, returned Saturday from Grant City,
Mo. where she attended the burial of her mother.
The Grant City Star gives the following account of the
sad as well as sudden death: Mrs. Comer, who of late
years had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. DuBois,
of
this city, was spending the week with her daughter, Mrs.
Blake, west of town, and was apparently in her usual
health until about fifteen minutes before her death when
she was suddenly stricken with a deathly sickness and
smothering and before assistance or loved ones
could be summoned had passed beyond all earthly aid.
She realized she was going to die and expressed her
readiness to go , telling her daughter not to weep for
her. Granma Comer was beloved by all who knew her.
She went about doing good in her own quiet way and will
be missed by her many friends in and around Grant City.
Mrs. Comer was converted at the age of 18 years and since
that time has been a member of the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church.
The funeral services were conducted fromt the
Presbyterian church of this by the pastor, Rev. A. D.
Seelig assisted by Rev. W> B> Christy of the
Methodist Church.
