William Wright was born September 17, 1758 in London, England. He emigrated to Virginia during the time of the American Revolutionary War. He joined the Revolutionary forces and served as a private and teamster in the Virginia troops. After the war he was married to Milly Malone. He married a second time after Milly Malone (name unknown).
He died on July 17, 1834 in Pulaski County, Missouri..
