Trying to locate grandchildren of John Davis and Margaret Hargess, John son of Charles Crow and Cynthia Shaver Davis, the Davis family lived three miles east of Thayer mo, today the Davis cemetery achurch is located on that land. Laurwood and Frank Davis run a business in Thayer until 1943, Laurwood married into the Wasson family, and had children. there was also a William and maybe a George in the family also two girls, we will have a family reunion in 1998 in Mammoth Spring Arkansas, and would like to have uncle John's family there.

I am looking for, and have some, information on the SIMPSON, BRIDGES, PAYNE, RAWDEN/RODEN, and TEAGUE families. I don't have huge amounts, but who knows what might be helpful. I have a website at: http://home.earthlink.net/~stoutd upon which I am posting information, slowly. I estimate I only have 20% of the info I have already posted. I'd certainly like information predating Thomas Simpson's move to Oregon county, as well as anything else that will expand what I have. Almost my whole ancestry is derived from Oregon county and whatever county it is just south of it in Ark. (Which would include GENTRY, INMAN, STOUT, and others.)

Joshua Jones married Susanna Davis, about 1845 Randolph Co Ar. Susanna was the Daughter of Charles Crow and Cynthia Shaver Davis. This Davis family moved to Oregon Co Mo 1858, except for Joshua and Susanna, in Webster county mo. 1870 census, Amelia Jones, age 15, was living with Lucinda Johnstone, a sister of Susanna Davis Jones, does anyone know what happen to Joshua and Susanna, and is Amelia their daughter, I know Amelia's grandchildren, but they don't know her parents. Does anyone know Joshua's Family? my gggrandfather and Susanna were brother and sister.

Seek to exchange information about family of Levi A. HALL, born Illinois 1834, in Missouri by 1860, first wife was Eliza M. or Margaret E. HALL. Children from first marriage include 1) A. P. HALL, born 1860-61, and 2) Alexander Jefferson 'Jeff' HALL, who was born in 1862, and married Betty BREWER and Mattie Martha GOINS. Levi A. Hall moved to Oregon County by 1875, when he married Sarah Ann 'Sally' HALL near Myrtle. They had daughter Mary Rebecca HALL, born in 1876, who married Marion Philbert KAZZEE. Levi A. and Sally Hall moved to Randolph County, Arkansas, north of Elm Store, about 1881.Thank you.

William Allen Custer b. 1828 Warren County, Tennessee, came to Oregon county before Sept 13, 1852. Married Sirena Allison 13 Sept 1852 in Oregon County, MO. Died 27 March 1863 in LIttle Rock Arkansas. I have other information I will be glad to share.

ALBERT STATEN is believed to be the father of CORNELIUS CICERO STATEN, BURL STATEN, JOHN STATEN, and MELISSA STATEN JAMES, wife of ISAAC JAMES. Also researching the FISSEL family including SARAH FISSEL MCDONALD wife of MOSES MCDONALD. All the families mentioned above have ties to Oregon County dating to the 1850's.

Avery COUCH died in 1866, and left land to his heirs in Oregon County. Avery COUCH's step-daughter, Catherine HALL (1847-1915), married Benjamin LADYMON (1847-1926) in Oregon County in January of 1867, then moved to Ravenden Springs, Arkansas. John HALL married Mary WILLARD in Oregon County on May 30, 1878. William HALL married Margaret TAYLOR in Oregon County on January 24, 1867. Would like to exchange with anyone who has information about any of these COUCH, HALL, LADYMAN, WILLARD, or TAYLOR families.

My grandfather was born in Oregan county, Mo. in August 1879. His name was Albert Haden Locke, his parents were Hardin Parke Locke and Maggie Moler Locke. In an old letter from my grandfather, he said they moved to Arkansas in 1884 and his father (Hardin P. Locke) died in 1887. Hardin and family were in Dunklin Co. Missouri in the census of 1870, Oregan Co. Mo. in 1880 and of course probably Randolph Co. Arkansas in 1890 census. Hardin had sons by a previous marriage, one of which I think probably married in Oregan Co. Andrew Jackson (Jack) Locke to a Dora Vanwinkle. I would appreciate any help you can give me on the

I am researching the family of George Deckard (Decker) b.1804 in N.C. d.1877 in Oregon County, Mo. m. Barbara ? b.1808-1810. They had 10 children: James Henry b.2-1834, George W.b.c.1835, John b.c.1838, Ira B. b.c.1842, Elizabeth b.1843, Margaret b.2-1844, Frederick b.5-27-1846, Lemuel b.4-1847, Deck(?)b.c.1851 & William (my gr.gr.gr. grandfather) b.4-1837 in Tenn. m. ? on 2-27-1887 in Reynolds county, Mo. They had two children: Arena A.(Irene) b.11-1868 & George W. b.3-13-1868. Need to know who George's parents were, what was his wife's maiden name? When & where did she die?
