Looking for Charles FORAN, born Alton, OREGON CO, MO. Estimated time of birth 1830-1850. He fought in the Civil War, was wounded and died of wounds 1883 somewhere around Hull, Iowa area. He married Mary Mahoney, born Sioux City, Iowa, no birth date, died 1883 in Hull, Iowa at birth of daughter Helen. Other children of theirs: Mary and Charles, both considerably older than Helen. Looking for info on the families of Dorothy A. SMITH who was born in Koshkonong,Howell,Mo. 1914. Siblings were IRVIN-NEWMAN-NELLIE-LOWELL-HATTIE-and LOIS. Their parents were JAMES HESTER SMITH born in Kentucky and MARY ICA IRVIN. JAME'S parents were J. HEZEKIA SMITH and SABINA ANGELINE CRIDER. JAMES had siblings AMOS SMITH-JOE SMITH-DAVE SMITH-LEONA who married a HUFF-and ETTA who married a BAKER. MARY'S parents were DEWITT IRVIN and LUCINTHA ELLIS. She had siblings WILBUR SMITH-LUTHER SMITH-LIZABETH who married a BELL-IDA who married a HUFF-ALICE who married a WHITESIDE-MAE who married a MERRELL-and ETHEL who married a HERFOLD. DOROTHY'S parents, JAMES and MARY, moved around in the area from West Plains, Koshkonong and Thayer,Mo. They are buried in the SMITH cemetery in Alton,Oregon,Mo.
