This list of children was put together from marriages and census, so it is believed that this is the list of his children. I have been contacted by a member of the Son's of Confederate Veterans and Georgia Division of Civil War re-enactors who would like to erect a marker on the grave of Lt. James O.A. Bumpass. He was a resident of Oregon Co. at the outbreak of the Civil War and enlisted in Co. B, 4th Missouri Infantry, Confederate. He was killed in a battle at Lattimore House, Georgia in 1864 and is buried in a Confederate Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Would like to make contact with any descendants on this soldiers family who could supply additional information on this fallen soldier. Who were his parents, siblings, etc.

Reuben VINCENT age 54 in the 1860 Census for Oregon County. His first wife was Leah JOHNSON. I think she died in Oregon County. Reuben then married Elizabeth ADAMS on 4 Nov 1858. Believe she died around March 1860. Reuben's daughter by 1st wife, Mary Ann VINCENT married Samuel Cusic SNIDER on 26 Oct 1854 in Thomasville. Reuben had another daughter, Malinda L (Lee Ann) who married Claiborne Kearney HANNERS / HANNAHS. Would greatly appreciate any information on the VINCENT or HANNERS / HANNAHS lines. Did Leah JOHNSON die in Oregon County? Did Reuben and Elizabeth ADAMS have any children? Was told that the HANNERS came from the Irish Wilderness. Could someone share information on this area of Oregon County? Thank You.
