HENSON, ROBERTSON posted by Rachell on Saturday, April 10, 1999

I'm looking for any information on the Robertson family that lived in Oregon county MO In the mid to late 1800's. My gr. gr grandmother was born Lucy Ellen Robertson 12-26-1873 in Oregon County and died 1-21-57 in Lanear MO. She married William Thomas Henson in Alton MO 1-15-1890. Her father was H.D. Robertson. This is the only information I have. He was full blood indian,we have been told Cherokee, but it wasn't talked of. I can not find any other information on him other than his name on William and Lucy's marriage certificate where he gave his written consent since she was underage. If anyone can give me ANY information on these names I would be so happy!! This is a search that has been ongoing for years and I'd like to get a break! Thank you, Rachell

LIGHT posted by Owen C. Dake on Sunday, April 25, 1999

The Rev. Florence Joshua Light and his family were believed to be in Oregon Co., MO around 1910. We had always thought he lived at Brandsville in Howell Co., but his youngest daughter thinks they were closer to Koshkonong. He had lost a son and his mother durig this period and we beleive they may buried in Oregon Co. His Mother's name was Mary Minerva Light and his son was Henry P. Light. I have photos of the grave sites (Mary had nice big stone) but don't know the location of the cemetery. Any information regarding the cemetery or other records of the F.J. Light family would be much appreciated. Thanks, Owen C. Dake dakeo@execpc.com
