Chares Robinson born around 1900. My grandfather was born October 2, 1902. Alabama Jones was a midwife, delivering babies. She remarried a man named George Sparks and had another son named Howard Sparks. James Harley Robinson married my grandmother as his second wife. Her name was Pearl and she died in Tampa, Florida in a rest home. That is all I know about her. James Harley Robinson died in Dinuba, California. During their marriage, James Robinson and Pearl had 4 daughters, Mary, Martha, Lovie and Bethel all born in Caruthersville, Missouri. My father's dad was James Garland Gregory born December 14, 1907. His mother was Effie May Cross born August 15, 1912. Effie's mother's maiden name might have been Bones. Effie had 4 sisters, Audrey, Clessie, Zorrie and Sadie. Sadie died in Steele, Mo. James Garland Gregory died July 11, 1986 in Fort Meade, Florida and Effie May died November 23, 1985 also in Fort Meade,Florida. James Garland was a preacher at a small church in Steele, Mo around the early 1950s before he moved his family to Florida. This might have been a Pentecostal church.

His father, James, died before 1910 supposedly of an accidental stabbing by his wife. Maggie's sister, VIDIE HUMPHREY, was married to JOHN CROSSNO, who I believe is a brother of JAMES CROSSNO. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. MAGGIE HUMPHREY and VIDIE HUMPHREY are daughters of HENRY HUMPHREY. Both married their husbands in Lake Co., Tenn. (1901 and 1904).
