QRYTEXT: I
would like
to hear from anyone who remembers the families of John Philip
BRANDON and
Luther BRICE who lived around the Braggadocia area in the early
1900's.
Luther's daughter, Cora, attended church at Boone's Chapel on
the bayou
outside of Steele and in later years at Bakerville. I'm also
interested
in the CHILDERS family from around Steele. Would like to have
more info
on the parents of Alphonso Daily CHILDERS also known as
"Fonnie". He
married Lena BRANDON in Steele around 1912 or so. His father was
Matthew
CHILDERS and his mother was Sarah Caroline ELLIS. Any info would
be
appreciated and I have lots to share as well.

believed buried in the Barnes Cemetary in Hayward on Jan. 17,
1879. I am pretty sure he was my great grandfather. He lived
at a "Stewart's Landing" of which we can find no trace except
possibly "Stewart" on the map about 2 miles SE from Hayward. I
suppose it's possible that the river changed course and that is
why we can't find the landing. Am very much interested in
finding
out about his wife,Cynthia Grace (we don't know if that is her
surname or middle name). Apparently she remarried after Goah's
death and is buried in Pine Bluff Arkansas as
Cynthia Grace Hector.
