Pettis County, Missouri
I Charles L Harvey of the County of Pettis and State of Missouri considering the uncertainty of life, being of sound mind and disposing memory make this my will and testament, that is to say: I bequeath to my youngest brother Moses C Harvey at the time of my death forty acres of land lying in the County and State aforesaid and described as follows: the Southeast qr of the NorthWest qr of Section Twenty Two Township 45 of Range 20. The said tract to be sold and the proceeds thereof to be appropriated to the cultivation of his mind between the age of twelve and eighteen years.
(Second) I appoint Jas. Harvey my executor to carry into affect the provisions of this will. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of March A.D. 1862.
The above instrument consisting of one sheet was here subscribed by Charles L Harvey the testator in the presence of each of us: and was at the same time declared by him to be his Will and Testament and we at his request signed our names hereto as attending witnesses.

Be it remembered that on the 13th day of August 1862 personally appeared before the undersigned Clerk of the Pettis County Court James Harvey and Nancy Harvey the subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of Charles L Harvey and being by me first duly sworn depose and say that the said this Charles L Harvey, The Testator subscribed the same in their presence and published the said Will or instrument of Writing as his last will: that he the said Testator was at the time of publishing his said will of sound mind and more than twenty one years of age and that they the said deponents attested the said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of said testator.
James Harvey, Nancy Harvey In witness whereof I Sam A Lowe, Clerk of the County Court of the County of Pettis and State aforesaid have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Court at Office in County aforesaid the 13th of August 1862.
