Know all men by these presents that I John A. Dillon of the County of Maries, of the state of Missouri, farmer, being in ill health, but of sound and deposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament and as to my wordly estate and all the property real and personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my deceased, I devise bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit:
First my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses by my executor hereafter named, be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient.I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Isabella Dillon all my household furniture, horses, cattle, notes, moneys &c. to have and to hold the same to her, her executors, administrators, and assigns forever. I also give to her the use, improvements and income of dwelling, land and its appurtenances situate in the county and state aforesaid to wit:
S1/2NE and SENW Sec. No. 27, Township No. 39, North, Range 7 West, containing one hundred and twenty acres. And also S1/2SE1/4 and SESW of section No. 21, township 39, range No. 7 West, containing One hundred and twenty acres, to have and to hold the same to her and during the term of her natural life.
I gave and bequeath to my daughter Mary M. Harris, one eighth of my whole estate, both real and personal to have and to hold the same and all the profits and income that may result therefrom and after the decease of my beloved wife Isabelle Dillon to have and to hold the same to her the said Mary M. Harris her heirs and assigns from and after the decease of my said wife to her and their use and thereof forever.
I gave, devise and bequeath to my sons James M. Dillon, John R. Dillon, Jos F. Dillon, Thomas A. Dillon, each one eighth of my whole estate including what each of the said sons has heretofore received as part or the whole of his share. Also all profits income and advantage that may result therefrom, from and after the death of my beloved wife Isabella Dillon to have and to hold the same, them the said James M. Dillon, John R. Dillon, Jos Dillon, their heirs and assigns from and after the decese of my wife, to them and their use and behoof forever all the rest and residue of my estate real and personal & mixed of which I shall be entitled at my decease.
I gave devise and bequeath to be equally divided between or among my remaining two sons, and daughter W.A.J. Dillon, Francis M. Dillon, Margaret E. Dillon their heirs and assigns from and after the decease of my said wife to them and their use and behoof forever and lastly II do nominate my son James M. Dillon executor of this my last will and testament. PIn testimony whereof I the said John A. Dillon have to this my last will & testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 25th day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty two.
