Early Pioneer of Pulaski Co., James Authur Yates was a Minister and preached the Gospel to the countryside and rode a White mule to do so.
His parents were Alexander Peter Yates and Easter McGuffey.
He was Born Oct. 6, 1829 in TN. He died Dec 12, 1915 at Fort Leonardwood, Pulaski Co., MO. Mo Death Cert says 2-4-1916.
James married Sarah Anna David (Parents were Jeramiah L David and Susan Prather). She was born 1828 in IN and died 1873 in Pulaski Co., MO.
James also married Charlotte Crossland Osborn.
