- Samuel TURNER, h/o Abigail HAINES, from Culpeper Co., VA to Ralls
Co., MO in 1820s. What were their connections with Aaron and Sarah
Haines of Calhoun Co., IL, just across the River? Levi Haines Turner,
s/o Samuel and Abigail, lived in Calhoun Co., IL and appears to have had
some close relationship to them and their children, Sanford, Caroline,
John, Harriet and Adaline. Caroline later was known as "Turner" rather
than Haines, though contemporaneous documents prove her parentage. What
was her connection to Levi Haines Turner and the Turner and
Haines/Hanes/Haynes families of Ralls Co.?

- I'm looking for any information on Jackson WOODSON. He appears to
have lived somewhere in the vicinity of Ralls/Pike/Audrian Co. between
1840 and 1846. It appears that he died 1846-1850 and his children were
sent to live with William Woodson (a brother?) in Pike Co. The children
were Henry, Marion Jefferson, and Mary E. Any help will be greatly

Williamson on Tuesday, December 16, 1997
- I have been stumped on tracing my early Ralls County resident back
into Kentucky. I have been unable to locate his family in Kentucky.
Charles Williamson was born about 1802 in Kentucky where his first child
was also born in 1832. He was an early land owner in Ralls County. I
believe Charles died before 1860 because his wife Sarah Elizabeth and
some of the children are on 1860 census but Charles is missing. The
family briefly lived in Dodge (later Putnam) County, Missouri before
moving back to Ralls County by 1860. Children of Charles and Sarah
Elizabeth Williamson were: 1. Mason b. 1832 KY 2. Catherine b. 1835MO,
md. George R. Rhodes 1856 in Ralls Co. 3. Elizabeth J. b. 1838 MO,
possibly md. Jim Rhoades in Ralls Co. 4. George E. b. 1840 MO, md. Sarah
F. Wright possibly in Howard Co., MO 5. Devury (Debba) b. 1842 MO 6.
Delaney (Lane) b. 1844 MO, md. Mary Frances Bradley 1875 in Ralls Co. 7.
James W. Williamson b. 1845 MO, md. Mary Matilda McCalister 1867 in
Putnam Co., MO 8. Thomas James (my great grandfather) b. 1848 MO, md.
Elizabeth Wright about 1875 possibly in Howard Co., MO 9. Sarah L. b.
1850 MO, md. William Shaver 1868 in Ralls Co. Any help on this family

- Sarah Farrell is listed on the 1850 Census as head of household with
7 children. They moved to Missouri between 1835 and 1838 from Kentucky.
I'm searching for Sarah's maiden name and her husband's first name along
with the KY county they originated from. I'm also looking for the names
of Christy Gentry, Sr.'s children. I believe one of them is the father
of Ally Gentry who was born in 1841 and listed in the household of Nancy
Gentry on the 1850 Census.
