M.S.S.C.A.R. CONTESTS

Contest Name	Purpose
American Heritage	Learn about the lifestyle of people in the military.Investigate how training, occupations, and living situations vary in the military today and how they have changed over time.
American History	Remember the events of September 11, 2001.Honor those who lost their lives and those who responded to the September 11 attacks.
American Indian	Investigate the history and Dreams of the American Indians.Strive to learn about the lives of the American Indians in the past and present.
Archives	Learn about the items which qualify to be preserved in the N.S.C.A.R. archives.
C.A.R./D.A.R./S.A.R./S.R.Relations	Include our parent organizations in efforts to support the Fisher House and increase C.A.R. membership.
C.A.R. Magazine Editors	Emcourage members, seniors and members of our parent organizations to subscribe to the C.A.R. Magazine
C.A.R. Magazine and Newsletters	Use the C.A.R. Magazine and newsletters to highlight articles and pictures that exemplify the American Dream and those who defend it.
Conservation	Evaluate C.A.R.’s ecological impact and see what you can do to help the environment.
Endowment Fund	Honor someone who is serving or has served in the military with an Endowment Fund Pin.
Government Studies	Understand the importance of the relationship between the government and the military.
Information Technology	Use the Internet to spread the word about C.A.R. activities, including the National Project work with the Fisher House Foundation.
Kids Helping Kids	Help military children through the difficult time of having a parent in the hospital.
Magazine Fund	Sustain the Children of the American Revolution Magazine through the Magazine Fund.
Membership	Help C.A.R. achieve our Dream of 11,000 members by 2012.
Mountain Schools	Aid the Mountain Schools in achieving their Dreams.
National Merit Award	Go for the Gold! Achieve your C.A.R. Dreams by answering all National Merit Award questions "Yes."
Patriotic Education	Learn about military heroes throughout history who have helped to preserve our ability to live the American Dream.
Public Relations	Publicize C.A.R. events using all forms of media.Highlight local activities, especially efforts assisting the Fisher House Foundation, to encourage community involvement.
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution	Honor those who have given their lives to defend the American Dream.
Veterans	Bring military families together across the miles. Donate to the Fisher House Foundation’s Hero Miles Program.
