Hart & children - Star standing then from left to right - Velt, Joe, Mart & Merrideth who died from typhoid fever around the age of 27 mos The year was about 1910 or 1911 The place was about 1 1/2 miles from Herald, Illinois on the Lewis Newcomb farm. Howell School, 1913 located southwest of Dexter, The little boy holding the slate is Elmer (Bill) Birchfield and the second little boy on Elmer's right (on his knees in white shirt with big collar, has curly hair) is Elmer's brother, Arthur (my Dad). Submitted by Sue Eskew
