my family of thorne's lived in stoddard county in the Essex area from around 1885 or so until about 1960. They moved back and forth between there and Hazelton IN where my grandfather was born in 1911, his mother was Bertha Ethel Woods, she married Donald Fredrick "Fred" Thorne. Bertha's mother was Eliza Jane DeJournett. Does anyone have any info on any of these people? I now know that Bertha is buried in Flint,MI, died in 1929 in childbirth. anything would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know when James Silas Tipton died? He was in his 70's, living with the Girdley family in Liberty Township when the 1930 census was taken. He died after 1934. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to pay someone to do research on this man for me.

I'm very interested in finding information about my Great Great Uncle Clarence Thrower. Born 1894 in Stoddard county and died 1943 in L.A County, California. He was mentiond as a resident of Oakland in a 1920 obit of Wm. Wesley Thrower and i also know that he lived in Oildale and Bakersfield, California.

My G-Grandfather William R. Thurmon was a resident of Liberty Township in 1880. In 1881 he married Sarah E. Hadley,(sister of Martin Hadley) Children: Dora M. m Ed Beck, Henry L. m Viola Elizabeth Fenwick, Thomas? any information on William R. Thurmon or the Hadley family would be a blessing.

Hezekiah Holder married Mary Tomlin 1866 in NC & had a son named William Greenway Holder b 1867 in NC.In 1889 theson William married my grandmother Elizabeth turpin in Butler Co Mo where they raised 8 kids. Perry Tomlin & Elizabeth were parents of Mary. Mary died appr 1877 .Hezekiah died in 1881,& left his three minor children to Perry Tomlin. In 1883 Perry Tomlin died and the minor children of Hezekiah became wards of the Co.Mary Hudaon advises that most of the familys that came to Butler Co ,stopped for a while in stoddard Co. Does these names ring a bell with anyone.

I am looking for decedents of Ralph P. Townsend who married Donna Hawkins about 1908. They had 9 kids one of which died in WWII (Ralphard). I am related to Freeman Townsend who is my grandfather.

I am confuse about some Trotters in Stoddard co. I have down the same children for James Wilson Trotter and Nora Tennison. as for Joseph Devers Trotter and Sarah. As i am working on all these Trotters I want to make sure I have it down right.
