  • NOTE: Louis Blumenberg (the father) was my grandfather's grandfather. He came to America with his wife Christina and his two oldest sons, from Hamburg, Germany in 1849.

  • NOTE: Louis Blumenberg, the thirteen year-old boy, is my great-grandfather. He married his next door neighbor (my great-grandmother), two-year-old Mary Herzog, almost twenty-two years later on February 14, 1882 in Kennett, MO. She was then twenty-five and a half and he just past his thirty-fifth birthday.
