I have an an index for soldiers (over 13,000) who died and were buried at
Andersonville Prison, Andersonville, Ga. during the Civil War, and will do
lookups in this index. Please give me a name and State when sending
me a lookup request. You can also search the
Andersonville Prisoner
Lookup Database which contains the names of 32,000 prisoners.

I recently sent for and received land records for my Wares in Scott Co. Years
between 1863-1882. The records for the buyers are for the listings under
W. But, under the "sellers" list, there are many names that might be of help
to others searching Scott Co. for their families. I will be glad to do lookups
in the information that I have.

I purchased Scott County Civil War Records from the Cape Girardeau County
Genealogical Society for $4.00. It is based on the 1890 special census and
includes Name of the veteran (or if he did not survive, the names of both
the widow and her deceased husband), the veteran's rank, company, regiment
or vessel, date of enlistment, date of discharge, and length of service in
years, months, and days. I would be happy to do look-ups from these Civil
War Records.
