ALBERT HUGHES 


Albert Hughes died of suffocation on May 30, 1917, at the Herculaneum Smelter when he fell into a mineral hopper.  He was born May 2, 1897, in Desloge, Missouri, and was the son of John H. Hughes and Rhoda (Sumpter) Hughes.  His death was ruled accidental.  Below is a scan of his death certificate.
