- Herndon Family Reunion
- Date: Oct. 4 & 5, 2008.
- Place: we will be at the First Baptist Church 551 North Westwood in Poplar Bluff, MO 63901
- Oct. 4, 1 to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
- Oct. 5 we will be in Aid, Mo and visit the Liberty Hill Church (services are at 10:30 AM), Harper Cemetery, Sadler Chapel Cemetery and other places in Stoddard County important to the Herndon family and their descendents.
- All Herndon descendants are welcome. Some Herndon descendant surnames in Stoddard County are Anderson, Brydon, Parks, Gladden, Jackson and Edwards.

- The David and Jane Bess Sifford Reunion
- Date: Annually held the last Saturday in July. This year it will be: July 26, 2008.
- Place: The Puxico High School Cafeteria at 12:00 noon. A potluck dinner is provided.
- historical memorabilia is displayed; genealogy is discussed; and a craft auction is held to benefit family projects.
David and Jane Bess Sifford were married in Stoddard County in 1849 and they have over 1000 descendents. All members of this family are invited to attend.
