I am looking for information on JOHN MINGER B: abt 1845 in Iowa living in Dexter, Stoddard Co. MO. in 1880 census. First wife POLLIE CRIER and had Jacob Minger born in Dexter Stoddard Co., MO. 25 Jan 1870. John married a ANNA SPENCE in Dexter MO on 26 Dec 1887. Family says there was brother to Jacob named Abraham. Unable to find any information about him. John would have had to been in MO with Pollie because Jacob was born there but can not find any death on her. Jacob is my G-Grandfather. Any information on these families would be helpful.

I am searching for my 2nd great grandfather's brother, Richard Ralston, born 1851 Boone Co IN. Moved to Trimble Co KY in 1855. Married Rosannah Kent about 1871 in Trimble Co KY. children: 1. Ollie Ralston (Male)born 1873 MO died 1878 Tirmble Co KY Buried Ralston Family Cemetery Trimble Co KY 2. Sophia Ralston, born 1878 Trimble Co KY. This family moved to Stoddard Co MO after the 1880 census. Richard purchased 67 arcres of land in Stoddard Co MO. Richard died between 1881 and 1900. IN the 1900 Census of Stoddard Co Rosa is listed as be widowed. She had six children with 3 living. The two named are Ethel and Anie. After Richard's death Rosa, his wife, was granted guardianship of Anie and Ethel (under 16).Oct 25, 1897 Rosa died in 1934 Stoddard Co Mo Death Certificate no.. 41643 ( I do not have this record). Richard is the son of John and Sarah Brenton Ralton. John, born 1803 Westmoreland PA near Hannastown. John died 1872 Trimble Co Ky Buried Ralston Family Cem. Sarah was born abt 1810 Nicholas Co KY to James and Elizabeth (Casey) Brenton/Brinton. John and Sarah married Aug 21, 1827 Nicholas Co KY. After the death of Sarah's stepfather, William Hopkins in 1832. She and her family moved to Boone Co IN and lived there until the spring of 1855 when the family moved to Trimble Co KY. I think that Sarah Ralston died after the 1880 census and 1881 since she was not listed in the home of Rosa Ralston in 1900. Richard comes from a family of 13 children. I believe that Richard and Rosa left KY for Mo with his sister and brother in law, Lucretia and James Robertson. Richard lived in Lisbon/Castorville and the Robertson's lived in Lenora. Anyone that may have any information or knowledge about these families, please contact me. I would like to know where Richard and Roas are buried and their children. Any information is appreciated. Searching for descendants Of Michael Rhyan and his wife Rhoda who lived in Stoddard County in the late 1800s. Their son Harry Givens Rhyan, b. 1859 in Kentucky is my grandfather. According to several censuses other children were Thomas, Lynn Boyd, Sarah and others. This family was in Livingston Co., Kentucky in 1850, in Stoddard Co. in 1870 and 1880. I know that some of the children later went back to Kentucky. My grandfather was in Grayson Co., Texas in 1900 Census and married my grandmother Viola Savannah Mullins there in 1894. They later moved to Hillsboro, Hill, Texas, and he and two youngest children relocated to Dallas, Dallas, Texas, after the death of Viola and two sons in the 1918 flu epidemic. Desire contact with anyone working this line. Will share anything I have.

Looking for information on the Nathan Rupard Family. The 1910 Federal Census Records indicate that Nathan was living with a son, James Thomas Rupard in the Duck Creek Community of Stoddard County. James Thomas and his family would move to Craighead County, Arkansas sometime between 1907 - 1915, but am unable to determine the status of Nathan.

Susan Sander m. George Washington Travelstead in Cape Gerardeau, MO 1850. They lived in Stoddard County from 1850 - 1860's. Susan's mother name was Sarah and she married Frederick Shrum. Sarah died in Stoddard Co. in 1883.

On the 1850 census for Stoddard County there is a listing for the John Shrum family. His wife is Ann. The children listed are Caleb, Catherine, Mary, David, and Frederick. I believe that the Catherine listed as Redman is possibly my gr-gr-grandmother. I am interested in information about this family. Ann could be the mother of all the children. Did she and John marry in Stoddard County? I would appreciate any help.

I’m working on this genealogy line for a friend of mine and any info concerning the following families would be helpful, I found some info about the Bess side on Ancestry. I can’t seem to make connections to the Williams or Rainey Families in Stoddard County. I also have some info on the descendants on the Williams , Rainey and Aslin sides if I can help someone with it. Cyrus Rainey married Mary Delaney Bess in Stoddard County 3/23/1893 (daughter of Andrew J. Bess and Sarah Amanda McGee) They had the following children- Winnie Myrtle, Paul Aca ,Rueben, Willie and Dannie (Cyrus is listed as Cris on the 1900 Castor, Stoddard, Mo census) (Mary was shown as Mallie or Mattie on 1900 and 1910 census) I found a Cyrus Rainey in the 1870 Castor, Stoddard census with his parents Davis or Navis Rainey & his wife Margaret and sister Catherine (I’m not sure but the age of Cyrus could be correct to be this Cyrus ) Mary Delaney Bess /Rainey married second husband Solomon F. Aslin On 4/20,1906 in Stoddard Co…. Solomon’s 1st wife was Lizzie Layton. Solomon and Lizzie were divorced on 4/19/1906 Between 1906 and 1910 Solomon and Mary moved to Klickitat County, Washington and eventually settled in the Camas, Clark, Wa. Area. They had the following children- Norval J. Elvin Clay, May, Keith, Estell Raymond, and Mildred Sarah Ann. Winnie Myrtle (daughter of Mary and Cyrus Rainey) Married Edward Williams who was born 5/6/1884 in Avert, Stoddard Co. Mo. And died 4/2/1960 in Camas, Clark, Wa ( I can’t find him on any census before moving to Washington.) Edward and Winnie were married about 1899 in missouri Edward Williams lived next to William A. Aslin and his wife Dottie in 1910 in Cow Creek, Adams Wa. I think there may have been some other connections between these families. Does anyone know the connection between Solomon Aslin and William A. Aslin?
