<I am a descendant of Marion C. HEDGE. He was married to
Effie HOWTON. Both moved to the Advance area and raised their
family. Where were they originally from? Would love to hear from

I'm searching for information on General Jack (G.J.) SKIMAHORN
(and other variant spellings including SKIMMIEHORN, SKIMEHON,
etc.). General Jack married Mary L. LACY in New Madrid County in
1898. Their first son Alvin was born in Hunterville in 1902 in
Stoddard County, most of the rest of their family were born in
New Madrid County. They had a servant listed in the 1900
Missouri census listed as Charley WOODS, he was 11 at the time.
Any information on any of these people would be appreciated. I'd
be happy to share what information I have with you. Thanks in

Looking for any descendents of Archibald Bloys CLODFELTER. b.
1877 d. Oct. 28, 1921 in Puxico. He was married to Mary F.
VORBLE. Their children were George, Cecil,b.1899, Jacob, b.
1901, Bland, b. 1906, Quinton, b. 1908, Ferdinand, b. 1910,
Helen, b. 1912, Mary,b. 1914, Bettie, b. 1919, Joseph, b. 1920,
and William Francis, b. 1921. Have lots of info to share.

What happened to Joseph TICHENOR and his wife, Martha Sanford
TICHENOR in 1878? Their daughter, Lulu Irene TICHENOR, born Nov
1871 in Bloomfield, is listed in the 1880 Stoddard Co., MO
census as living with her grandmother, Martha SANFORD. Joseph
& Lulu were supposed to have died in a fire. Where was the
fire? Where are they buried? In 1889 Lulu married George
Washington SMITH, born Jan 1870 in IL and their children - Nelle
Irene SMITH HAYMES, Blanche Marion Smith MURRAY, Joseph AMOS,
and twins Herbert Sanford and Homer Harris were all born in
Stoddard Co. I'm interested in all ancestors and descendants.

Searching for info on my Stoddard County ancestors. Prince
Albert Pressley JORDAN b. Oct.7, 1899 in White County, Ill.
Moved to Stoddard County date unknown. Married Florence Converse
BASS,(marriage date unknown) b. 29 Oct. 1902 in Stoddard County,
Advance, MO. The couple lived in Painton for a number of years,
then moved to Goose Pond Hill, in Stoddard County, where they
lived until they died. The marriage produced 9 children-8 of
whom lived to adulthood. Children are Ovena Jordan STORY,
Charles JORDAN, Freda Jordan YOUNG, Calvin JORDAN, Albert
JORDAN, Alford JORDAN, Anna Belle Jordan HAAS, Verna Jordan
DICKERSON, and Geneva Louise Jordan BANDY. Also seeking info. on
Donald Kenneth BANDY, b. 02 Nov. 1939 in Poplar Bluff. Married
Geneva Louise JORDAN on Apr. 13, 1957, in Sardus Mississippi.
The couple made their home in Advance, Stoddard County for
several years. Seeking info on parents of Donald BANDY--Herbert
Lee BANDY, b. Apr. 1914 in Hornersville, Mo, Dunklin County.
Married to Alice Louise WEEKS, b. 23 June 1918 in New Madrid
County, MO. The couple owned a farm somewhere between Bell City
and Advance. Need info on Herbert's parents, Edgar Ancel BANDY,
and Mary Wood BANDY, birth counties unknown. Info. on Florence
Converse BASS Jordan's parents. Minnie Belle JONES (m.BASS) and
Lute BASS, b. 14 April, 1875, county unknown. Died May 1966 in
Cape Girardeau, MO. Also am dying to know where the surname
"BANDY" originated. Have found many Bandy's in many
different databases, but no clue as to where they originally
came from, or how the name evolved to its present form. Any
ideas where I might look for this information? Any tidbits will

I am interested in contacting anyone researching the names DAVID
and MILLER. John W. MILLER who lived in Stoddard Co. in 1840 may
be my great grandfather. His family lived in Dunklin Co. in
1850. He was married to Mary Ann DAVID and it is possible there
may be a connection to the Henry DAVID who lived in Stoddard Co.
in 1840. Any help would be appreciated.

I live in Dudley Missouri (stoddard County). My grandparents on
my fathers side Helen TAYLOR (FORD) grandmother, And Chester B.
TAYLOR. I would like to learn more about where the Taylor family
started out at and so on. My grandmother was a FORD and grew up
in Risco, and My grandfathers family moved from Tennessee. Where

information on James Otto DAUGHERTY, who was born in Stoddard
County, 24 May 1893. He married Caroline Ida STAUSING b. 29 Dec
