If this is my family he later had a daughter in 1864, Mary Etta who married a CRAWFORD and lived in Dunklin Cty., a daughter named Nora who married a MILLS, and a daughter named Irene. This family may have spent some time in Cape Giradeau and Thebes, Il. Anyone researching HARPERS in these areas?

SURNAMES: MCMILLAN, MCMELLEN, MACMILLAN
QRYTEXT: A family ancestor, John McMillan, is listed in Goodspeed's history of Southeast Missouri (under John McMellen). The family is trying to locate any of his decendants. John and his first wife had 9 children - Mary, Henrietta, John, Lydia, Robert, Margarett, Henry, James, and one other name not readable from the 1860 census. John and Rebecca arrived in Stoddard Co. at about 1841. He remarried in 1864, a Miss Sarah Kenny, after his first wife died. We have no names of their two children, but Goodspeeds states they had died by the time of publication (1880 or so?). John was born in Canada, near Ottawa, Ontario. During his time in Stoddard County he served with the Missouri State Militia Cavalry Volunteers (During the civil war), was elected county judge, and was a justice of the peace. We are very interest to locate or contact any of John's decendants. John's family came to Canada in 1792 and we are trying to add his branch to a large family tree.

QRYTEXT: I am seeking any information to be had on John WARF and his wife Bithia who show up in the 1850 census in Butler County, MO. He is 50 and says he was born in NC, and his wife is 53, born in KY. Their son, James Henderson WARF, is the only child listed with them. He is 15 and was born in IL. I may have found this same family living in Franklin County, IL in the 1830 census, though further verification is necessary. If it is them, they had at least three other children. I have not found them on the 1820, 1840, or 1860 censuses, although I do find James Henderson in 1860. I have checked Wayne County, MO, but have had no luck. I know they were in Butler and Dunklin Counties. I know they lived around Ash Hill, Bernie, Maldon, and Senath, and James Henderson lived in Greene County, AR later. I would truly appreciate any help you might give me in finding John and Bithia's death dates, places of burial, census citations for decades I don't have, or any other information about them. I am also very open to suggestions about Missouri research. They are as far back as I can go with my WARF line. Family stories say John was half Cherokee or Saponie Indian. I have also seen the name spelled "WORF" and "WHARF." Thank you for any help you can give me. I am planning a trip to Missouri this summer to search further. John W. QRYTEXT: I would appreciate any information about the family of John LEE who died intestate in New Madrid Co., MO; probated 16 Mar. 1837. (#86 & 87). Children listed were Mary LEE, Thomas LEE, Lemuel LEE, John LEE, and Elizabeth Rebecca LEE. Administrator was Jeremiah LEE. Would like to know if listed child named John LEE was the John LEE who married Margaret NORMAN about 1837...they lived in Stoddard Co., MO in 1840. John and Margaret LEE had children Nancy C. LEE, born 1838 or 1839 and Frances Abigail LEE, born 1841. John LEE died when Frances Abigail LEE was a baby... so he likely died about 1841/1842. So far I'm at a dead end trying to locate the ancestry and beginnings of this John LEE, who is my G G G grandfather, and who was born between 1810-1820 and died 1841/1842. Will gladly exchange information. Thanks.
