Searching for information on Robert Newton French, born 1847 in
KY. He
married Mary Isabel Daniels April 17, 1870 in Cape Girardeau.
She was
born in 1857 in Advance, the daughter of David and Francis A.
Daniels.
Robert and Mary's children were Rosa, Spencer, Willie, Robert
N., David,
Emma C., Henry, Rufus, Josephine, Dora, and Laura. They
attended church
at Fairview in Advance, and many of the children are buried
there. Robt.
Newton French was a Confederate soldier, but I am not able to
find any
records. Would also like to know his parents and his place of
birth. He
died in 1920 and Mary died in 1926. We have not been able to
locate
stones for Robert or Mary in the Fairview Cem.

The 1920 U.S. Census for Cole Co. lists a Zode KIRBY as being a
prisoner in the MO State Penitentiary. The census record also
shows he
was white and age 24.
Because of the unusual first name, and his age, I think it
possible he
might be the same Zode KIRBY
who is my ggf.

till death.

Children born
are as follows: Lee Roy, Ola Pearlie, Delmar Floyd, Verla
Ellen, Dortha
Ellen, Harley Monroe, Loy Aldon, Archie Altie, Rosy Earl, Flora,
Clifton,
Melvin "Churn", Russell "Tobe" and James. Two step sons are
Orville and

1914. Worked for the railroad. Was married to Annie Pearl
WOODS and
later married to Fronia RAPP ELLIS. They are half sisters. His
parents
were William Harvey MEDLOCK and Rebecca Harriett WILLIAMS.
Children were
Rebecca Harrett, Omaha Kansas, Arizona Mentora, Alvey Raymond,
Andy
Harvey, Virgil Utah (Bill). He also had one step son Robert
ELLIS. I
