QRYTEXT: My maternal
grand father
was born 11 Jun 1875, Bloomfield, Stoddard, Missouri, he had a
brother
Samuel Almon Gipson who was a couple of years older. I have not
been able
to find out much regarding his parents, they died when he was 3
years
old. The following info was given to me by my mother, Ina Lee
Gipson
Dozier: Jessie was the father and Mary Matilda the mother. In my
research
I have found there was a George A. Gibson that married Matilda
J. Weaver
on 21 Sep 1873 in Stoddard Co. Missouri. In the record book of
wills for
the County of Stoddard, Missouri Book B p. 85-87 I find that
George A.
Gibson died in 1878 and had two sons; Samuel Almon Gibson and
Luther
Simeon Gibson and that Georges friend Stephen W. Norris was
appointed
executor and guardian of the two boys. I presented this info to
a Gipson
cousin and he felt that it was not accurate, even though the
boys names
are the same and they were born the same time. Any info would be
greately
appreciated

FETROW
ADAMSON died Feb 1895, near Morehouse MO while visiting her
daughter,
Amanda (Mrs. Geo) LEWIS.
We haven't been able to find info on Christina....FETROW
ADAMSON....
While looking through old letters this eve, I find from a
"cousin?"
"Uncle Fred gave wrong info on the death certificate. He was
so upset
he gave SCHMIDT" (thought to be her mother's maiden name) as
Christina's
surname!"
Fred may not have been wrapped too tight,or maybe overcome with
grief,
however....... I overlooked this little "tidbit" since receiving
the
letter 1991!
If you have any books/information that would list death or
burial's for
Feb. 1895 in Stoddard county, would you please, please see if you
can find
Christina Fetrow Adamson, listed under the name SCHMIDT or a
combination
there of?
Thankyou so much
