MISS EDNA’S SCRAPBOOK
This series of newspaper articles came from the scrapbook of Edna Elanore Scott (pictured above), born August 25, 1881 in Galena Missouri. She was the daughter of Orlander "Bud" Scott and Mary Magdelene Burk. She married Charles Louis Walters, a local stone mason. She started her scrapbook of newspaper clippings while she was a child living in Galena. Most of the clippings came from the Stone County Oracle. Miss Edna died in 1972 at the age of 90. The scrapbook was found by Miss Edna’s great-granddaughter, Karen Hine in February of this year, and she has very graciously agreed to share it’s contents with us. It is Karen’s hope that other researchers will find valuable genealogical information in the articles. Please take a few moments and browse through the treasure that Miss Edna left for us.
