Reuben Jobe and his wife, Susan Eales, were married
about 1875 in the Vernon County, Missouri area and lived in Vernon
County's Dover Township until their deaths. They are both buried
in Toalson Cemetery in Dover Township, Reuben having died in November
1934 and Susan in August 1941.
Susan's sister, Elizabeth Eales, married Benjamin
Toalson. The 1903 Vernon County Plat Map shows Elizabeth Toalson
as the owner of the land around Toalson Cemetery in Section 21 of Dover
Township. She is listed in the 1900 Census in Dover Township of
Vernon Co, Missouri.
On April 7, 1906, Elizabeth Toalson married
Gilbert Steel Watts in Lamar, Barton County, MO. Gilbert Watts
died June 25, 1919.
Elizabeth Watts then married Jeptha Rathbun,
September 1922, at Lamar, Barton County, MO. One month later, on
October 25, 1922, Elizabeth died. She was buried in Lake Cemetery
at Lamar, MO. Her sister Susan (Eales) Jobe of Vernon County
signed the death certificate. |

Parthena Jobe and Aletha Ellen Jobe are sisters of Reuben Jobe.
This picture was taken about 1878 in Barton County, Missouri.
Ellen Jobe
married William Charles Worthey on April 9, 1883, in Vernon County,
Missouri; and
they moved to Jersey County, Illinois, where she died in the 1920s.
Sarah Jobe
was listed in the 1880 Linn County, Kansas Federal Census where she was
living with her half-sister Elizabeth Dodson Hartley's family.
