When first driving into Houston, this is the view that greets you looking up Main Street. It has a lovely small town atmosphere and is very friendly as I found out on my visit there.

To the left of the street in the picture above is the courthouse shown below.

Another interesting building is this Memorial Building which is also the Genealogical and Historial Society Building.
