Jonathan m 17 Mar 1866 in Franklin Co MO to Sabra MOODY AMOS, wid/o Charles AMOS who were m on 13 June 1855 in Wright Co MO, Charles AMOS d 29 Feb 1864; In 1867 Jonathan OWENS bought land in Newton Co MO; He, Sabra and her children are listed on the 1870 Newton Co MO census and with them is Wm. THARP who is husband of Sarah Elizabeth AMOS. According to some Homestead papers, Johnathan OWENS was a member of the Union Army serving with CO A 6th MO COL CAV during the Civil War. These papers also state that Jonathan OWENS d in Nov 1877 at Newtonia, MO, and    Sabra d 12 Oct 182 at Newtonia, MO, but their burial place is not known; 1880 Wright Co MO Hart Twp #24-24 Sabra age 59 wid is head of household;    Wright Co MO Probate Index list him as #323; Jonathan was a Minister of the Gospel;
