Page, Eugene Vernon:
Eugene Vernon Page, son of Melvin Arthur and Blanche Mae Jones Page, was born Oct 9, 1927 in Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Nov 10, 1989, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 1 day.  He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Donald.  Eugene is survived by his mother Blanche Page, Hartville, MO; two sons and two daughters; also a host of other relatives and friends.  Eugene will be remembered and missed by all those who knew him.  Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Painter, Howard Francis:
Howard Francis Painter, son of Daniel Joseph and Dora Ellen Howard Painter, was born Oct 13, 1914 in St. George, MO.  He departed this life Oct 11, 1990 in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 28 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant sister; and one brother Chalmer Painter.  Howard is survived by 3 sisters Edith Beese, Wausau, WI, Ethel Cravens, Parma, MO, and Goldia Bradshaw, Mountain Grove, MO; 2 brothers Hayden Painter, Lebanon, MO, and Wilbert Painter, Hartville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He lived his entire life in Wright County, MO, where he operated the family beef cattle farm.  He also worked with his brother Wilbert at the saw mill from 1948 until 1985.  From 1941 until 1945 Howard served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army.  He accepted Christ into his life in the 1930's at a Brush Arbor Meeting and had made his peace with the Lord.  He enjoyed fishing in his spare time and also liked to do mechanic work.  Howard will be fondly remembered and missed by all his family and friends.  Burial: Claxton Cemetery.

Palmer, Dora:
Dora Palmer, daughter of Argus Lee and Francis Leroy Dorris Palmer, was born Aug 1, 1920, in Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Jan 20, 1991,, in Mansfield Nursing Home, Mansfield, MO, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 20 days.  In 1963, she was united in marriage to Harold Williams who preceded her in death in 1989.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Argus in 1967 and Leroy in 1969; and two brothers Aubrey Palmer in 1964 and Warren Palmer in 1972.  Dora is survived by one daughter Glenda Palmer, Hartville, MO; two granddaughters Laura and Lisa Palmer, both of Hartville, MO; two brothers Clarence Palmer, Waynesville, MO, and Argus Palmer, Jr., Hartville, MO; three sisters Joyce Lowery, Grovespring, MO, Lillie Martin Ross and Grace Williams Prewitt, both of Waynesville, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She lived most of her life in the Hartville area.  She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed caring for her home and family.  She was a very loving and faithful mother, grandmother and sister.  She was always there to lend a hand, whatever the need was.  She was especially devoted to her two granddaughters Laura and Lisa.  Dora accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized.  She remained ever faithful to her Lord until her death.  She talked continuously of meeting her Savior and loved ones.  She also spoke of how happy she was to have a Christian family at home.  Dora will be fondly remembered and missed by her family, relatives and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Pasley, Earnie Levi:
Earnie Levi Pasley, son of Tom and Dosha Page Pasley, was born Apr 7, 1922 near Brushy Knob, MO.  He departed this life Tuesday, Jun 6, 1995, in his home in Hartville, MO, at the age of 73 years, 1 month, and 29 days.  On Feb 2, 1944, he was united in marriage to Mildred Irene Davis and to this union one son and two daughters were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Les Pasley; a grandson Jamie Conner; and a great-grandson Stetson Conner.  Earnie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law Junior and Shirley Pasley, of Hartville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Larry Conner of Brookline, MO, and Ruby and Kenneth Williams of Olathe, KS; 7 grandchildren Jerry, Jody, and Jimmy Conner, Deonna and Tyrone Davis, and Mike and Cindy Pasley; a great-grandchild Amanda Conner; a half-brother Bill Pasley of Hartville, MO; 4 half-sistes Carrie McCall of Mountain Grove, MO, Mary Peters of Formosa, KS, Gracie Hyatt of Dayton, TX, and Martha Shields of Columbia, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in the Norwood and Brushy Knob area and continued to live there for several of his adult years.  For several years, he drove a school bus for the Norwood School District.  He was commissioned as a Wright County Deputy Sheriff over 48 years ago, and in January of 1966, he became Chief Deputy for the Wright County Sheriff serving first under Jim Baker and then later under Rex Kelley.  Since 1966, he and Mildred had made their home in Hartville, MO.  Earnie was a devoted family man who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild.  In his spare time he was an avid hunter and enjoyed working and caring for his hunting dogs.  Earnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Patterson, Edward Clinton:
Edward Clinton Patterson, son of Ora and Liza Young Patterson, was born Dec 21, 1907, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Apr 18, 1990, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 9 days.  On Nov 22, 1932, he was united in marriage to Mable I. Hughes and to this union 3 children were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son E. C. Patterson; 2 brothers Jack and Loyd Patterson and one sister Daisy Deckard.  Ed is survived by his wife Mable of the home; one daughter Lida Grace Chism, Springfield, MO; one son and daughter-in-law Terry and Kay Patterson, Marshfield, MO; one brother Ralph Patterson, Riverside, Ca; one sister Edith Dedmon, Marshfield, MO; 4 grandchildren Shane Patterson, Marshfield, MO, Kathy and Harry Polacoff, Republic, MO, Keith and Kim Osterloh, Springfield, MO, Pam and Ron Lowther, Kingman, AZ; 5 great-grandchildren Joey and Laura Polacoff, Republic, MO, Mandee and Mitchell Osterloh, Springfield, MO, and Jill Lowther, Kingman, AZ; a number of nieces and nephews; also a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County, MO, and lived in the Odin community throughout most of his life.  Ed and Mable made their home together on the farm for many years.  Ed professed his faith in God and was a long time member of the Odin Community Church.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially liked working in his garden, raising vegetables for his family and many friends.  Ed will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and a caring friend.  Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Patterson, Terry Ray:
Terry Ray Patterson, son of Edward Clinton and Mable Irene Hughes Patterson, was born Sep 16, 1945, in Odin, MO.  He departed this life Thursday, Jul 27, 1995, in St. John's Regional Health Center, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 49 years, 10 months, and 11 days.  On May 17, 1979, he was united in marriage to Janice Kay Dedmon, and together they shared 16 years.  He was preceded in death by his father; a brother E. C. Patterson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Austin and Edith Dedmon; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lois and Bill Owens.  Terry is survived by his wife Kay of the home; his son Shane Patterson, currently serving in the U.S. Air force and stationed at Fort Walton Beach, FL; his mother Mable Patterson of Hartville, MO; a sister Lida Grace Chism of Hartville, MO; 5 brothers-in-law and their wives G. A. and Virginia Dedmon of Mansfield, MO, Gaylen and Jackie Dedmon of Albion, Wa, Bill and Joan Dedmon of Ava, MO, and Roy and Nelda Dedmon and Jack and Frances Dedmon, all of Hartville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in the Odin community area, attended Dry Branch School and graduated from Hartville High School.  For several years, he was employed as a supervisor for the H. D. Lee Company in Hartville and also raised cattle.  For the last 15 years, he and Kay had made their home near Marshfield.  Terry professed his faith in Christ as a young man, and was baptized.  He was a kind and loving person, who possessed a big heart and cared deeply for others.  He greatly loved his family, was especially good with children and children always seemed to love him.  He was particularly good at trap shooting and in 1971 won the Missouri State Trap Shoot Championship.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with his cattle, and doing woodworking projects in his spare time.  He also liked gardening and tomatoes were his specialty.  Terry was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pearman, Julia Adeline:
Julia Adeline Pearman, daughter of William Preston and Susan America Randolph Jordan, was born Sep 23, 1899, in Wright County, MO.  She departed this life Sep 11, 1992, in the Lebanon Care Center in Lebanon, MO, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 18 days.  On Sep 17, 1921, she was united in marriage to Virgil Tipton Pearman and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Virgil on Jan 9, 1980; two daughters Lorene Todd and Nadine Pearman; one son Rowland Pearman; two sisters Ada Chambers and Martha Oliver; and three brothers James, Henry and Cecil Jordan.  Julia is survived by one son and daughter-in-law James W. and Ilene Pearman of Hartville, MO; one son-in-law Howard Todd of Willard, MO; one brother and sister-in-law Alvie and Vivian Jordan of Nixa, MO; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was a life long resident of Wright County and was raised in the Durbin community area.  After she and Virgil were married, they made their home north of Hartville where they lovingly raised their family.  She was a wonderful homemaker who devoted herself to her children and any family member who was in need of tender loving care.  She truly was a very giving person as through the years she had taken care of her sister, her grandmother, her husband and her daughter Lorene, during their illnesses and always took special care of her daughter Nadine.  Julia was a member of the Church of Christ and as a child attended the Durbin Church.  Later, she attended the Shaddy Chapel where she enjoyed her church fellowship.  She was a member of the Little Creek Home Economics club for over 50 years and also enjoyed helping the 4-H Club with their projects, particularly the cattle and horse showing.  She enjoyed sewing and quilting and also loved to cook and do canning.  Julia was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and was a concerned and giving neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and all those who knew and loved her.  Burial: Shaddy Cemetery.

Pearman, Linna Nadine:
Linna Nadine Pearman, daughter of Virgil Tipton and Julia Adeline Jordan Pearman, was born Nov 7, 1924, in Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Sep 8, 1992, in the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO, at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 1 day.  she was preceded in death by her father Virgil Pearman in 1980; one brother Rowland Pearman; and one sister Lorene Todd.  Nadine is survived by her mother Julia Pearman of Lebanon, MO; one brother James W. Pearman of Hartville, MO; one uncle Alvie Jordan of Nixa, MO; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She lived her entire life in the Wright County area and was a loving and caring person.  Nadine was baptized at an early age and attended the Shaddy Chapel Church of Christ.  She enjoyed singing and being around children and liked tending to the chickens and gathering eggs.  Nadine was a loving daughter, sister, niece, and aunt and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.  Burial: Shaddy Cemetery.

Pedersen, Roy Theodore:
Roy Theodore Pedersen, son of Christopher Wilhelm and Lillian Esther Clark Pedersen, was born Jul 1, 1916, in Miles City, MT.  He departed this life Thursday, Apr 3, 1997, in Webco Manor in Marshfield, MO, at the age of 80 years, 9 months, and 2 days.  On Sep 28, 1940, he was united in marriage to Geneva Fern Eaton, and to this union 4 sons and 4 daughters were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Geneva on Jan 2, 1985; 2 brothers Frankie Pedersen and Allen Sketo; and his stepfather Ira Sketo.  Roy is survived by 4 sons Dr. Herbert Pedersen, and his wife Barbara, of Duncanville, TX, Gerald Pedersen, and his wife Mary, and Ronald Pedersen, all of Hartville, MO, and Garry Pedersen, and his wife Nancy, of Lebanon, MO; 4 daughters and their husbands, Phyllis and Dale Hensley and Brenda and Kenny Bradshaw, all of Seymour, MO, Linda and Tom Cravens of Hartville, MO, and Debra and Wayne Rost of Marshfield, MO; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers Richard Pedersen, and his wife Charlotte, of Kansas City, KS, Vernon Sketo, Lee Sketo, and Bob Sketo, and his wife Ruth, all of the state of California, and Donnie Sketo and his wife Jeannie of Norfolk, VA; a sister Evelyn McFee of Tacoma, WA; a brother-in-law Glen Eaton and his wife Kathryn of Redding, CA; 3 sisters-in-law June Sketo of Taft, CA, Pauline Friess and her husband Don of Colorado Springs, CO, and Pansy Russell of Grovespring, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Montana and moved to Missouri in 1932.  After he and Geneva were married, they made their home on their farm northwest of Hartville, and lovingly raised their family.  In 1962, the family moved from their farm into Hartville.  Throughout his life, he owned and operated several sawmills in Wright County.  He was also a certified diesel mechanic, and did repair jobs for many years.  For 14 years, he owned and operated the DX Service Station in Hartville, and for 8 years was a custodian for the Hartville Schools.  Roy had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a longtime member of the Hartville First Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon.  Through the years, he had been the Chairman of the Deacons, a Sunday School teacher, and the Sunday School Superintendent.  He centered his life around his family and his church activities.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and garden.  Roy was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the memories he has created for his family and friends will live on forever.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Perkins, Beulah Pearl:
Beulah Pearl Perkins, daughter of John Henry and Arminta Elizabeth Sullivant Mansker, was born Oct 1, 1910, near Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Sunday, Jul 21, 1996, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 20 days.  On Oct 13, 1928, she was united in marriage to Calva Raymond Perkins, and to this union two daughters were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Calva on May 6, 1979; a brother Fred Mansker; a sister Ollie Claxton; 5 half-brothers; and 4 half-sisters.  Beulah is survived by her two daughters Imogene Kelling and Geraldine Webb, both of Hartville, MO; two grandchildren Tammy Carriger and Roger O'Dell, both of Hartville, MO; three great-granddaughters Melissa Wollard, and Denette and Chasity Carriger; a great-great-granddaughter Alexia Nichole Wollard; a sister Rosie Phesant of Peoria, IL; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in Wright County and, as a child, lived in both Oklahoma and Kansas, before the family returned to the Hartville area when she was about 17 years old.  After she and Calva were married, they lived in the Hartville area for a while, and then moved to Peoria, IL for several years.  In 1946, they returned to Hartville and made their home here for the rest of their lives.  Throughout the years, she and Calva owned and operated various different businesses in Hartville.  Besides working at these businesses, she also was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  Later in her life, she worked as a cook for the Hartville Schools for 5 years, and also cooked at the Hartville Senior Citizen Center.  Beulah had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Hartville Assembly of God Church.  She loved her family dearly and particularly enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren play softball and basketball.  In her spare time, she liked sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking.  Beulah was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Phiffer, Roy Lee:
Roy Lee Phiffer, son of Oscar and Emma Giphart Ramsey, was born May 8, 1930, in Wirth, AR.  He departed this life Friday, Jan 12, 1996, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 65 years, 8 months, and 4 days.  On Dec 21, 1952, he was united in marriage to Barbara Hammell, and to this union one son and one daughter were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Roy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Tom Jennings of Hartville, MO; a son Leroy Phiffer of Great Bend, KS; 4 grandchildren Matt and Samantha Jennings, and Jason and Bryan Phiffer; a sister Bertha Freeman of Mobile, AL; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Arkansas, and at the age of 3 moved with his family to Kansas City, MO.  He entered the military in 1947, and served his country faithfully for 6 years in the U.S. Army.  While he was in the Army, he and Barbara were married and began making a home together.  He and Barbara returned to Kansas City from 1953 until 1955, before Roy joined the U.S. Air Force.  For the next 16 years he was part of the Air Force Security Police and was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE, Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico, Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, KS, and Howard Air Force Base in Panama.  He also was stationed in St. Louis, MO, on special service assignment as a recruiter for 5 years.  On Feb 1, 1970, he retired from the military and he and Barbara started in the motel business in several states.  In 1983, they moved to their farm in Wright County, MO to enjoy their retirement years.  Roy had made his profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hartville.  He centered his life around his family, his church, and his farm.  He enjoyed the outdoors, liked working on his farm, and also loved being with his family and friends.  Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Phillips, John Virgil:
John Virgil Phillips, son of John R. and Sarah Lathrom Phillips, was born near Rayborn, MO, in Wright County on Oct 29, 1906, and died Jul 15, 1990, at Houston House in Houston, MO, at the age of 83.  Much of Virgil's youth was spent in the west, where he worked with his father on Wyoming and Nevada ranches and in Colorado timber.  In 1924 he and his parents and younger sister returned to Missouri in a horse-drawn covered-wagon caravan, working their way through the mid-west.  Virgil achieved two years of high school through correspondence courses.  His junior year was spent in the newly-formed "Job" high at Lawson school and in 1931 he graduated from Mountain Grove High School, where he was a member of the championship football team.  The following year, he attended college in Kirksville and played football under the tutelage of Coach Don Faurot.  During and for sometime after World War II, Virgil was employed in the aircraft industry at San Diego, CA.  In the 50's, he returned once more to Missouri where he farmed and "horse-traded" until old age and infirmity caught up with him and he became a resident of Houston House.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Dessie Dodson and Montie Rowen Craig, and a brother Claud.  Survivors include a sister Imogene Conrad, Huntsville, MO; two step-children Roy Hoggatt and Shirley Townley, Houston, MO, and several nieces and nephews, including Clyde Rowen of Hartville.  Burial: Robinett Cemetery.

Prock, Roy Lee:
Roy Lee Prock, son of Omar Monroe and Bessie Pearl Marcum Prock, was born May 20, 1935, near Grovespring, MO.  He departed this life Sunday, Aug 14, 1994, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 24 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers Walton, Dalton and Rex Prock.  Roy is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law Tony and Angela Prock, and Danny and Mary Prock, all of Grovespring, MO; two sisters Mildred Shockley of Springfield, MO, and Marie Carmichael of Cassville, MO; two sisters-in-law Florene Prock of Grovespring, MO, and Berniece Prock of Joplin, MO; four grandchildren Cody, Hope, Sandi and Joshua Prock; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He lived all of his life in the Grovespring area where he was a self-employed logger.  He was devoted to his family and his children and grandchildren were always special to him.  He enjoyed cars and loved to restore old cars  He also liked to drive in parades and show off his cars.  Roy was a loving father, grandfather, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered by all of his family and many friends.  Burial: Shaddy Cemetery.

Rhea, Gladys Halley Pyatt:
Gladys Halley Pyatt Rhea, daughter of Hosea and Ollie Belle Franklin Nichols, was born Dec 1, 1901 in Duncan, MO.  She departed this life Jan 5, 1992, of a heart attack while visiting her granddaughter and her husband, Eileen and Dick Feagin, in Gainsville, FL.  At the time of her death she was 90 years, 1 month and 4 days old.  In February of 1921, she was united in marriage to Everett Pyatt and to this union 3 daughters and one son were born.  One daughter Jo Ella Pyatt preceded her in death in 1936 as did Everett in November of 1941.  In 1945 she was united in marriage to Clyde Rhea, who preceded her in death in 1956.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.  Gladys is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law Wilda B. and Don Hudson and Marianna and J. C. Newton, all of Tulsa, OK; one son and daughter-in-law Bill and Freda Pyatt of Hartville, MO; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a number of step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  For 77 years she was a very active member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church.  She loved her Lord and His church and gave herself unselfishly to it.  Gladys requested her family and friends to:  Weep not for me, my precious dears, I am not dead, but sleeping here.  I was not yours but God's alone Who loved me best and took me home.  Remember, friends, as you walk by, As you are now, so once was I.  As I am now, so you will be, Prepare for death and follow me.  Gladys loved life and lived it fully.  Her smile and laughter will be missed by all of those who loved and knew her.  Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Zola Mae Richardson, daughter of Barney Anderson and Olive Elizabeth Chapman Claxton, was born Dec 13, 1913, in Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Wednesday, Mar 15, 1995, in her home near Hartville, MO at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 2 days.  On Oct 1, 1933, she was united in marriage to Hayden Clement Richardson, and to this union one son was born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hayden on Oct 10, 1975; and a brother Jack Claxton.  Zola is survived by her son Dale Richardson and his wife Margaret of Hansen, ID; a sister Frances Bowden and her husband Max of Ashland, MO; a brother Arthur Claxton of Kennewick, WA; two grandsons Mark Richardson and his wife Lori of Twin Falls, ID, Mike Richardson and his wife Jennifer of Boise, ID; a granddaughter Lora Richardson of Hansen, ID; 3 great-granddaughters Hannah, Megan and Ashley Richardson, all of Boise, ID; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in Hartville and graduated from Hartville High School.  She later met and married Hayden, and they made Wright County their home for most of their lives.  In 1939, she and Hayden purchased their farm west of Hartville.  Working and caring for the farm were very important parts of her life and she loved being outdoors and tending to the day to day chores.  Zola had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Hartville First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed her church fellowship.  She loved her famiy dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.  Zola was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Riddle, Bobbie Nell:
Bobbie Nell Riddle, daughter of Claude and Myrtle Loriena Hodge Methney, was born Jun 6, 1940 in Alpaugh, CA.  She departed this life Sunday, Mar 19, 1995, in her home in Mansfield, MO, at the age of 54 years, 9 months and 13 days.  On Apr 20, 1986 she was united in marriage to Phillip Lee Riddle.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters Cuebelle Harrington and Phyllis Methney.  Bobbie is survived by her husband Phillip of the home; two sons Myron Shields of the state of Virginia, Barry Shields of Ava, MO; 3 step-sons Clayton Riddle of the home, Randy and Timothy Riddle, both of Kingsburg, CA; one step-daughter Tammy Riddle of Fresno, CA; 2 sisters Sue Martin of Buckeye, AZ, and Mary Kennee of Coarsegold, CA; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.  She was raised in California and at the age of 6 moved with her family to Salinas, CA.  She graduated from high school there and lived most of her life in Salinas.  While living in California, she met and married Phillip.  They continued to make their home there until moving to Wright County in August of 1994.  Bobbie made her profession of faith in Christ and was of the Full Gospel faith.  Music was a very important part of her life.  She loved to sing and especially enjoyed playing the piano.  Bobbie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Rippee, F. A.:
F. A. Rippee, son of Conly and Jewel Carter Rippee, was born Oct 8, 1930 in Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Nov 1, 1989, in his home at Bakersfield, CA, at the age of 59 years and 23 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Cynthia Ann and his sister Geraldeane Jones.  F. A. is survived by two daughters Teresa Mollineaux and Nancy McCombs, Bakersfield, CA; one son Richard Beierle, Bakersfield, CA; 7 grandchildren Tamarah Thompson, Christina and Cynthia Mollineaux, Jenny, Jonathan, Andrew and J. Adam McCombs, all of Bakersfield, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County.  In 1958 he moved to Bakersfield, CA, where he made his home.  He had been employed by the Lerner Oil Co. of Bakersfield for over 20 years.  F. A. was a member of the Hartville First Baptist Church.  He had belonged to the Moose Lodge and enjoyed cooking and fishing.  F. Rippee, Geneva Sue:
Geneva Sue Rippee, daughter of Sammie Lewis and Barbara Rohema Rader Dinwiddie, was born Apr 6, 1917, in Morgan, MO.  She departed this life Dec 26, 1991, in the Medical Center of Independence, MO, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 20 days.  On Dec 24, 1938, she was united in marriage to Earnest Roy Rippee and to this union 3 sons and 2 daughters were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy on Jun 11, 1985; one infant daughter; two infant siblings; and two brothers Everett and Jonathan Dinwiddie.  Geneva is survived by 3 sons Francis and Thomas Rippee, both of Independence, MO, and Lee Rippee of North Kansas City, MO; one daughter Rose Davis of Kansas City, KS; 2 sisters Nadine Black of Petrolia, TX, and Irene Barker of Lebanon, MO; one brother Monroe Dinwiddie of Fulton, MO; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in the Morgan community and then, after marrying Roy, they made their home in the Hartville area for most of their married years.  For the last few years she had lived in the Gasconade Apartments in Hartville.  She was a devoted homemaker and lovingly cared for her family.  Geneva professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church where she enjoyed her fellowship.  She enjoyed visiting with her many friends and family members and also liked to sew.  Geneva will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial: Green Valley Cemetery.

Rippee, Jewell Opal:
Jewell Opal Rippee, daughter of Silas Adam and Nancy Coraette Admire Carter, was born Sep 13, 1908, in Grovespring, MO.  She departed this life Feb 15, 1989, at Cox Medical Center North in Springfield, MO, at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 2 days.  In 1928 she was united in marriage to C. N. Rippee and to this union one son and one daughter were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband C. N. Rippee; her daughter Geraldeane Jones; 2 sisters Essie Hilburn and Alpha Carter Admire; and 7 brothers Clifford, Cecil, Ben, Oriville, Virgil, Ray, and Everett.  She is survived by her son F. A. Rippee of Bakersfield, CA; her sister Missouri Ann Wakefield, Springfield, MO; 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  Jewell lived her life in the Wright County area.  She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.  She was a member of the Eastern Star, Hartville Christian Church and was active in the Hartville Senior Citizens.  She enjoyed knitting in her spare time.  Jewell will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and caring friend.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Roberts, Ramon Russell:
Ramon Russell Roberts, son of Nicholas and Eliza Jennie Boyle Roberts, was born Jul 19, 1905 in Rogers, AR.  He departed this life Jan 22, 1991, in Maranatha Manor, Springfield, MO, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 3 days.  On Aug 28, 1926, he was united in marriage to Tressie Juanita Abbott.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Tressie in April of 1988; 5 brothers George, Johnnie, James, Floyd and Whitney Roberts; 3 sisters Lulu Mills, Lillian Roberts and Kate Featherstone; 2 grandsons Rickey and Richard Roberts; and one infant great-granddaughter.  Ramon is survived by 3 sons Norman L. Roberts, Fort Collins, CO, Donald E. Roberts, Springfield, MO, and M. Harold Roberts, Champaign, IL; one daughter Dorothy C. Getz, Appleton City, MO; one sister Frances Simon, Galena, KS; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Arkansas, spent most of his childhood in Pomona, MO, and his teen years in Webb City, MO.  As a young adult, Ramon settled in Muskogee, OK and there he met and married Tressie.  For most of his life he lived in northwest Missouri, but in 1963 he and Tressie retired to Hartville.  Then in 1987 he sold his farm and moved to Springfield.  Ramon was a member of the Little Creek Baptist church and enjoyed his fellowship there.  He was a charter member of the Bolckow, Missouri Lions Club.  In his younger years he enjoyed working in his woodshop and liked to plant a garden each year.  Ramon will be fondly remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring friend.  Burial: Little Creek Cemetery.

Robertson, Kenneth:
Kenneth Robertson, son of John D. and Gladys Droste Robertson, was born May 29, 1915, in Chicago, IL.  He departed this life Tuesday, Apr 16, 1996, in his home, near Hartville, MO, at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 17 days.  On Sep 29, 1945, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Brock, and together they shared 50 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 sisters-in-law Florence Brock, Margaret Wisner, and Ruth Brock.  Kenneth is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; a brother Douglas Robertson of Chicaago, IL; 4 sisters-in-law Geraldine Brewer, Eileen Stern, Bonnie Jean Brock, and Linda Novac, all of Chicago, IL; a brother-in-law William Brock, Jr. of Chicago, IL; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and received his education there.  He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II.  After he and Dorothy were married, they made their home in Chicago until 1967, when they moved to Wright County, MO.  For the last 28 years, they made their home near Hartville.  For several years, he worked as a mill-right, for various factories.  He was a member of the Elmer E. Sellers American Legion Post #45 of Hartville.  He enjoyed gardening, sports of all kinds, and especially liked playing pool, and visiting with his friends at the Hartville Senior citizens.  Kenneth will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Robertson, Wilma Vear:
Wilma Vear Robertson, daughter of E. W. and Anna Dell Fritz Martin, was born Mar 14, 1919, in Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Nov 17, 1991, in her home near Grovespring, MO, at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 3 days.  On Jul 24, 1936, she was united in marriage to Arthur Sherman Robertson and together they celebrated 55 happy years.  To this union 2 daughters and 2 sons were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Fred Martin; 2 sisters Lola Carr and Ruth Robertson; and one son-in-law Leonard House.  Wilma is survived by her husband Arthur of the home; 2 daughters Velta House of Grovespring, MO, and Cathern Long and her husband Don of Hartville, MO; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Rollie and Beverly Robertson of Grovespring, MO, and Dwaine and Vickie Robertson of Flower Mound, TX; 3 sisters Edith Admire of Morgan, MO, Cleta Priester of Van Buren, MO, and Jauleta Todd of Lebanon, MO; 2 brothers Guy Martin of Delta, CO, and Ray Martin of Lebanon, MO; 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in the Hartville area and lived all of her life in the Wright County area.  She and Arthur worked side by side on their dairy farm near Grovespring where they raised their family.  Wilma accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was a longtime, active member of the Elk Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed her fellowship.  She was a devoted homemaker and lovingly cared for her family.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and piecing quilts.  She also liked to cook for her family and friends.  Wilma will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial: Shaddy Cemetery.

Robinett, Essa Garner:
Essa Garner Robinett, daughter of John Wesley and Hettie Victoria Neil Garner, was born Feb 3, 1904, near Competition, MO.  She departed this life Friday, Dec 23, 1994, in the Hawthorne Nursing Home in Charlotte, NC, at the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 20 days.  On Feb 27, 1929, she was united in marriage to James Gracchus Robinett and to this union one daughter and one son were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James on Jul 12, 1974; a brother William H. Garner; and 4 sisters Artie Young, Ethel Garner, Ola Dedmon, and Verba Mullins.  Essa is survived by her daughter Hettie Wright of Charlotte, NC; her son James Robinett, Jr., of Aniak, AK; 7 grandchildren; a brother Charles O. Garner of Springfield, MO; 3 sisters Delphia Allen of Hartville, MO, Clella Burch of Forth Worth, TX, and Verla Mag Farr of Springfield, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was a life long resident of Wright County being born and raised in the Competition area and then moving with her family to the Hartville area.  After she and James were married, they made their home on their family farm just outside of Hartville and lovingly raised their children.  Throughout the years she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  For the last few years, since her health began to fail, she had made her home in Charlotte, NC, near her daughter.  Essa had made her profession of faith and had been a member of the Baptist faith.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Hartville for many years.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, quilting and doing handwork projects.  She loved having her family around her and found special joy in her grandchildren.  Essa was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Robinett Cemetery.

Robson, Arthur Lee:
Arthur Lee Robson, son of Dennis Charles and Eliza Nevada Carder Robson, was born Mar 8, 1927, near Grimes Mill, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Saturday, Aug 23, 1997, in his home, near Hartville, MO, at the age of 70 years, 5 months, and 15 days.  On Sep 30, 1947, he was united in marriage to Essie Clark, and together they shared the last 49 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Arthur is survived by his wife Essie of the home; a brother and his wife Eugene and Freeda Robson of Willow Springs, MO; a sister and her husband Annabelle and Clyde Tinsley of Mountain Grove, MO; several nieces and nephews Charles, Joyce, Janice, Jennie and Judy, including 5 very special ones Shonnie, Randy, and Leah Gaddis, Kenneth Koontz, and Melanie Frazier; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised on the Grimes Mill place, near Grimes Mill in Wright County, MO.  After he and Essie were married, they made their home on his family's farm for a short time.  In 1958, they moved to their farm in the Beaver Creek area, where they lived for 21 years.  In 1979, they moved to their present home on their farm in the Little Creek community.  Throughout his life he worked as a dairy farmer.  Arthur had made his profession of faith in Christ and had attended the Little Vine Freewill Baptist Church, near Grovespring.  He was a devoted partner to his wife and they worked side by side on their farm sharing the chores and responsibilities.  He respected and knew the quality of a good horse and mule.  He loved horses and enjoyed driving a team of horses pulling a wagon, and did so as long as his health allowed.  Arthur was a loving husband, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Robson, Eliza Nevada:
Eliza Nevada Robson, daughter of Jonathon Simeon and Nancy Gillespie Wilson Carder, was born Feb 12, 1905 in Wright County, MO.  She departed this life Tuesday, Jan 23, 1995 in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 12 days.  On Nov 1, 1924, she was united in marriage to Dennis Charles Robson and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dennis on May 30, 1967; her step-mother Martha Prock Carder; 5 brothers Jim, Frank, Wes, Jake, and Bill Carder; and 3 sisters Annie Sullens, Dailia Wilhite, and Ethel Garner.  Eliza is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Arthur Lee and Essie Robson of Hartville, MO, and Eugene and Freeda Robson of Willow Springs, MO; a daughter and son-in-law Annabelle and Clyde Tinsley of Mountain Grove, MO; a sister Rethel Yandle of Boise, ID; 5 grandchildren Charles Robson of West Plains, MO, Joyce Tinsley of Rochester, MN, Janice Tinsley Driskill of Jefferson City, MO, Jeannie Tinsley of Springfield, MO, and Judy Tinsley Brax of Olathe, KS; 6 great-grandchildren Melissa Verity, Colter and Lauren Robson, Aaron and Hope Driskill, and Eliza Nguyen; a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in Wright County, MO, near Rayborn, and lived there all of her life except for a short while that she and Dennis spent in California.  Besides being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, she loved the outdoors and worked hard maintaining her farm.  She also was a National Weather Service observer for more than 20 years.  Eliza made her profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized.  She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church for many years.  Her garden was very special to her and she took great pride in caring for it.  Eliza was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Coon Creek Cemetery.

Russell, Harry Wilburn:
Harry Wilburn Russell, son of Jacob H. and Sarah Alice Patterson Russell, was born May 16, 1914, in Odin, MO.  He departed this life Apr 20, 1992, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 4 days.  On Sep 15, 1940, he was united in marriage to Pansy Fern Whittaker and to this union two daughters and one son were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters Maude Russell and Fannie Dodson; 4 brothers Roy, Jim, Virgil, and Estell Russell; and 3 half-brothers John, Bill and Sam Russell.  Harry is survived by his wife Pansy Russell of the home; two daughters Bettie Cook of Hartville, MO, and Patty Bateman of Grovespring, MO; one son Ted Russell of Hartville, MO; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in the Odin community and after he and Pansy were married, they spent two years in California before returning to Missouri and Wright County.  He had worked several years at the Marshfield Steel Plant as well as operating a farm near Grovespring where he and Pansy lovingly raised their family.  Harry had made his peace with the Lord and had attended the Sunshine Church for as long as his health allowed.  He liked to fox hunt and always enjoyed going with his son, Ted, on his jobs.  He was a friendly person who loved visiting with his friends and neighbors.  Harry loved his family dearly and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.  Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery.

Russell, Mark Lynn:
Mark Lynn Russell, son of Willis Herbert and Eloise Jane O'Dell Russell, was born Jun 17, 1955, in Denver, CO.  He departed this life Jul 21, 1992, due to an automobile accident near Hartville, MO, at the age of 37 years, 1 month and 4 days.  On Apr 1, 1985, he was united in marriage to Linda Lee Finley.  He was preceded in death by his mother Eloise Russell on Mar 17, 1980; one sister Patricia Louise Russell in August of 1955; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.  Mark is survived by his wife Linda of the home; 3 sons Ritchie and Patrick Russell, both of the home, and Robbie Russell of Hartville, MO; two daughters Angie Russell and Sondra Freeman, both of Mountain Grove, MO; his father Willis Russell of Hartville, MO; one brother Darrell Russell of Hartville, MO; one grandson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Denver, CO, and then moved with his family to the Hartville area in 1970.  He graduated from the Hartville High School and then worked with his father in the automobile body shop business.  Mark was a member of the Hartville Volunteer Fire Department and had taken training in Emergency Medical Technics.  He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed his children and grandson.  He enjoyed working on cars and also liked target shooting with his guns.  Mark will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother and as a caring neighbor and friend.  Burial: Little Creek Cemetery.
