Yeager, Evelyn Josephine "Peggy":
Evelyn Josephine Yeager, daughter of William Joseph and Anna Evelyna Swanson Nixon, was born Oct 20, 1920, in Columbia, SC.  She departed this life Sep 1, 1989, in Mercy Tri-county Hospital, Mansfield, MO, at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 11 days.  In January of 1941, she was united in marriage to Henry Everett Yeager.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry; one son Tommy; and one daughter Ruth Ann.  Evelyn is survived by one son Bobby Yeager, Hartville, MO; 2 sisters Barbara Robbins, Kimberling City, MO, and Kay Brown, state of Oregon; a number of nieces and nephews; also a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in Columbia, SC, and then moved with her family to Gainsville, MO.  During the 1940's she moved to Wright County, MO, where she met and married her husband, Henry.  For many years she worked as a secretary for several different businesses and then worked as a secretary for the Wright County Family Services for over 15 years.  Evelyn was a long time member of the Hartville Assembly of God Church and enjoyed taking part in their services and activities.  She was a member of the Hartville Garden Club and the Hartville Senior Citizens.  She took pride in her home and enjoyed tending to it.  She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, sister, and a caring friend.  Burial: Coon Creek Cemetery

Yeager, Jenetta Berniece:
Jenetta Berniece Yeager, daughter of George Franklin and Ellen Edna Hazel Windsor Curtright, was born Apr 2, 1928, near Eminence, MO.  She departed this life Wednesday, Sep 3, 1997, in St. John's Regional Health Center, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 1 day.  On Oct 4, 1947, she was united in marriage to Dean Monroe Yeager, and to this union 3 daughters were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dean on Dec 3, 1980; 4 brothers Andy, Lawrence, Delbert, and Melvin Curtright; and one sister Verna Kodesh.  Jenetta is survived by 3 daughters Deena Crisp, and her husband Eldon, of Mountain Grove, MO, Brenda Douglas, and her husband Dale, of Grovespring, MO, and Joyce Miller of Springfield, MO; 5 grandchildren Dennis Crisp, Angela Pinegar, Penny Prock, Dana Mobley, and Daleana Perez; 6 great-grandchildren; one sister Mildred Harris of Springfield, MO; 2 brothers Joe Curtright of Pekin, IL, and William Curtright of Senath, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born near Eminence, MO, in Shannon County, but as a small child moved with her family to Wright County where she lived all of her life, with the exception of a few years that she and Dean lived at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.  Throughout the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children.  Jenetta had made her profession of faith, and before her health failed, had attended the Pleasant Grove (Cope) Free Will Baptist Church.  She was a very loving, cheerful person whose life revolved around her family, and always placed the needs of others first in her life.  In her spare timne, she liked to read and especially loved music.  She played several instruments, including the guitar, and enjoyed singing.  Jenetta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  Burial: Cope Cemetery

Yeager, Olga Olive:
Olga Olive Yeager, daughter of George Monroe and Versa Cordelia Wynn Garner, was born Mar 14, 1904, near St. George, MO.  She departed this life Thursday, Feb 6, 1997, in her home, near Hartville, MO, at the age of 92 years, 10 months, and 22 days.  On Feb 12, 1921, she was united in marriage to Lee Thomas Yeager, and to this union 3 sons and 1 daughter were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee, on May 15, 1955; 2 sons Dean and Don Yeager; and 2 brothers Garland and George Garner.  Olga is survived by her son Jack Yeager of Hartville, MO; her daughter Betty Austin of Lebanon, MO; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchldren; a sister Venita Clark of Hartville, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in the St. George community and, after she and Lee were married, they continued to make their home there except for 2 years when they lived at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.  Throughout the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  Olga had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a longtime member of the Pleasant Grove (Cope) Church.  She loved reading her Bible and sent some time each evening reading and meditating.  In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and reading, and liked taking care of her home.  Her family was very important to her and she treasured the time she spent with them.  Olga was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  Burial: Cope Cemetery

Young, Ethel Mae:
Ethel Mae Young, daughter of Frank and Edith Edwards Burtlow, was born Nov 6, 1909 in Medoc, MO.  She departed this life Sep 29, 1991, in the Cox Medical Center, North in Springfield, MO, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 23 days.  On Jan 28, 1925, she was united in marriage to Orville Robert Young.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville, on Jan 25, 1976; one infant daughter Bonnie; one other daughter Ella Louise; 3 sisters Bessie Deckard, Bertha Mitz and Jessie Cantrell; one brother Frank Burtlow; and one half-brother Bill Kelley.  Ethel is survived by 2 sons Billy Young of Marshfield, MO, and Lloyd Young of Hartville, MO; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; one sister Antha Fleming of Lynwood, CA; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born near Medoc, MO, and then as a young child moved with her family to Wright County, MO.  She later met and married Orville and they made their home on their family farm in the Odin community and raised their family there.  Ethel had made her profession of faith in the Lord and was a long time member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.  She was a very faithful and active member for as long as the church held services.  She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family dearly.  She loved cooking and enjoyed having her family and friends in for meals.  She also enjoyed sewing.  Ethel will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery

Goldia Lucille "Billie" Young, daughter of John Calvin and Eva Aurora Robinette Jones, was born Mar 9, 1924, near St. George, MO.  She departed this life Sunday, Apr 14, 1996, in St. John's Regional Health Center, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 5 days.  On Jun 20, 1944, she was united in marriage to R. D. Young, and to this union 2 sons and 2 daughters were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers Jack and Dwight Jones.  Billie is survived by her husband of 51 years, R. D., of the home; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Anita Young of Lebanon, MO, and Mike and Denise Young of Rolla, MO; 2 daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and John Wisdom, Jr., and Sheila and Lowell Adamson, all of Hartville, MO; 6 grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Tyler, and Katie Young, Tracy Thomas, and Andrew Wisdom; 2 sisters Helen Cunningham of Marshfield, MO, and Pauline Haffner of Cabool, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born near St. George, in Wright County, MO, and received her education there.  After she and R. D. were married, they made their home in Wright County and continued to live there, except from 1947 until 1951, when they lived in the Kansas City area.  Besides being a devoted homemaker, she also worked as a fee agent for the Missouri Department of Revenue for a total of almost 7 years.  She centered her life around her family; and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing needle work projects, and visiting with her many friends.  She also liked being involved in politics.  Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: New Home Cemetery

Young, Lawson Lee:
Lawson Lee Young, the son of Albert Woodson and Ada Pearman Young, was born May 29, 1905, on a farm north of Hartville, MO.  He departed this life on Saturday, Apr 9, 1994, at Webco Manor, in Marshfield, MO, at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 10 days.  On Oct 24, 1945, he was united in marriage to Grace Virgie Blevins, and to this union one son was born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Grace on Jun 18, 1976; and 3 sisters Ruby Coltrane, Sabert Hargus, and Macie Young.  Lawson is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Charley and Sharon Young of Marshfield, MO; one grandson Jeff Young of Marshfield, MO; a sister Osa Fisher of Hartville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County, where he lived most of his life.  After he and Grace were married, they made their home on a farm south of Odin, where they lovingly raised their son.  Lawson had professed his faith in Christ as his Savior, and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.  Throughout his life he worked as a mechanic, and also operated the family farm.  He liked fishing, and playing and rebuilding fiddles.  He always enjoyed going and visiting with his friends at Dunn's Station in Odin.  Lawson will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.  Burial: Newton Cemetery

Young, Lola Audrey:
Lola Audrey Young, daughter of Arby and Gladys Bittikofer Strayer, was born Feb 19, 1916, in Fulton County, OH.  She departed this life Friday, May 20, 1994, in her home near Lynchburg, MO, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 1 day.  On Jun 29, 1940, she was united in marriage to Burl Lesley Young and to this union 4 sons and 3 daughters were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons Leroy and Roger Young; a daughter Shirley Young; and a sister Geneva Murray.  Lola is survived by her husband, Burl, of the home; 2 daughters Juanita McConnell of La Plata, MO, and Carolyn Crocker of St. Robert, MO; 2 sons Rev. Thomas Young, a missionary in the Canary Islands, and Billy Young of Gold Bar, WA; a sister Francesa Schaffner of Morcenci, MI; 2 brothers Ross and William Strayer, both of Wauseon, OH; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a special friend Ellen Crane of Lee's Summit, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from the Wauseon High School.  After marrying Burl, they soon settled in the Lynchburg area where they lovingly raised their family.  She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family and her home.  Lola attended the Unity Baptist Church and had made her peace with the Lord.  She liked crocheting and knitting and was a wonderful cook, and always loved having her family around her.  Lola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Mount Carney Cemetery

Young, Lowell Elmer:
Lowell Elmer Young, son of Clarence Elmer and Vava Lily Eaton Young, was born Mar 14, 1926 in Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Mar 24, 1992, in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO, at the age of 66 years and 10 days.  On Dec 4, 1946, he was united in marriage to Lula M. Gray and to this union 5 sons and 4 daughters were born.  On Sep 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to Bonna Bee Muncy.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters Dorless Essick and June Moore.  Lowell is survived by his wife Bonna; 5 sons Jimmy Dale Young of Mountain Grove, MO, Manuel Young of Mansfield, MO, Bobby and Timmy Young, both of Kansas City, KS, and Ronnie Young of Riverside, MO; 4 daughters Loretta Helms of Ozark, MO, Shirley Vining of Kansas City, KS, Jeanie Pearson of San Jose, CA, and LaDonna Cody of Mansfield, MO; 4 step-daughters Bonna Sue Gates, Debra Beatty, Kathy Jones and Pamela Hampton, all of Kansas City, KS; one step-son Oscar Roberts of Hartville, MO; one sister Ann Martin of Mansfield, MO; one brother Ted Young of Springfield, MO; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Hartville, MO, and lived there for most of his life except from 1965 until 1981 when he made his home in Kansas City.  For many years he was employed as a welder in the steel fabrication manufacturing industry. For over 35 years he was a Pentecostal Minister and since his retirement he had been working in full time evangelism.  Lowell had made his profession of faith in Christ and had pastored several Pentecostal churches.  He loved the Lord and loved to serve the Lord through ministering and singing.  He was always willing to help anyone in need and was good to listen and encourage others.  He was a devoted family man who loved his family dearly.  He liked to joke with people and to tease them and enjoyed being with his family and friends.  In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Lowell will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a caring friend and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.  Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery

Young, Ralph Raymond:
Ralph Raymond Young, son of Erastus Conway "E.C." and Ida Bell Pearman Young, was born Oct 31, 1911, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Tuesday, Nov 15, 1994, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 83 years and 14 days. On Mar 23, 1935, he was united in marriage to Leota Bell Winn and to this union 2 sons and 1 daughter were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Owen and Willard; and 4 sisters Ruth, Ethel, Edith and May.  Ralph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leota, of the home; 2 sons Kenneth Young of Springfield, MO, and Roger Young, and his wife Beverly, of New Lenox, IL; a daughter Kathy Hagerman of Grayslake, IL; a sister Loyce Latimer of Springfield, MO; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County and lived all of his adult years here.  He owned and operated an auto garage for many years.  Ralph had made his peace with the Lord and had attended services at Little Creek Baptist Church before his health began to fail.  He enjoyed restoring antique tools and spending time with his family and friends.  Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial: Little Creek Cemetery

Verba Lee Claxton Pool Young, daughter of George Calvin and Altha Belle McClanahan Claxton, was born Jan 13, 1904, near Grovespring, MO.  She departed this life Wednesday, Mar 5, 1997, in the Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, MO, at the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 22 days.  In November of 1929, she was united in marriage to Dewey Pool, who preceded her in death in November of 1945.  On Oct 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to Edgar Young, who passed away in June of 1991.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; one infant brother; and 3 sisters Goldia Coday, Elizabeth Iles, and one infant.  Verba is survived by 3 sisters Sue Long, and her husband, Bill, of Springfield, MO, Verga Redinger of Sun City, AZ, and Maxine Wynn Roberts, and her husband, Clyde, of Hartville, MO; a brother Bill Claxton, and his wife Bea, of Mogadore, OH; 2 step-daughters Leeta Stigall, and her husband, Jack, of Mountain Grove, MO, and Neta Martin, and her husband, Don, of Grovespring, MO; a brother-in-law Lowell Coday of Bakersfield, CA; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in the Grovespring area and in her teenage years moved with her family to the Pleasant Hill area.  She graduated as the Valedictorian of her class from the Hartville High School and then attended Draughn Business College in Springfield.  She worked for several years in Kansas City, MO, and then later returned to Hartville, where she married Mr. Pool.  After Dewey passed away, she worked for a while as a cook in the Hartville Schools.  Then in 1958, she married Edgar Young, and they eventually moved to Mansfield, and then to Mountain Grove, where she had made her home until 3 years ago.  In 1993, when her health began to fail, she had entered the Hartville Care Center.  Verba was a member of the Church of Christ and had attended the Mountain Grove Church of Christ for many years.  In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors where she worked in her flowers and yard.  Her family was very special to her and she loved spending time with them.  She also loved and enjoyed her cats.  Verba will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial: Steele Memorial Cemetery
