Hake, Harry Enos:
Harry Enos Hake, son of George Abraham and Sarah Box Hake, was born Jul 27, 1903 near Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Monday, Mar 24, 1997, in his home in Hartville, MO, at the age of 93 years, 7 months and 27 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Dorless Jennings, 5 sisters Maude, Mary, Georgia, Vernie, and Marcie; and 5 brothers William, Hose, Edward, Johnny, and Roy.  Harry is survived by 2 daughters Arliss Gayman of Idaho Falls, ID, and Joanne Garriott of Shelley, ID; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; several cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Hake, Janie Marie:
Janie Marie Hake, daughter of Ceburn and Mahetable Christina Johns Mackey, was born Mar 5, 1904 in Seymour, MO.  She departed this life Dec 5, 1989 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO, at the age of 85 years and 9 months.  In 1924 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Hake.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert in 1980; and one brother John Mackey.  Janie is survived by one daughter Vera Haddock, Springfield, MO; one grandson Robert Haddock, Springfield, MO; one great-granddaughter Heather Haddock, Springfield, MO; one brother Ward Mackey, Seymour, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; also a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in Seymour, MO, and lived there until her marriage.  She and Robert then made their home in the Hartville area.  Janie taught school in the Wright County area for 17 years and then she and Robert owned and operated the Hake Cafe in Hartville for over 30 years.  She was a faithful member of the Hartville Christian Church for over 25 years.  She belonged to the Hartville Rebekah Lodge and the Wright County Senior Citizen Club.  In her free time she enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.  Janie will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Hake, Richard Henry:
Richard Henry Hake, son of Fred Martin and Annie Clark Hake, was born Dec 16, 1911 in Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Feb 26, 1989, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 10 days.  On Feb 12, 1936, he married Dorothy Alice Grizzell and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Johnnie.  Richard is survived by his wife Alice of the home; two sons James, Burlington, Iowa and Allen, St. Louis, MO; one daughter Vera Johnson, Springfield, MO; one sister Ema Cody, Springfield, MO; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.  He grew up and lived in Hartville, MO, until 1959 when he moved to Springfield, MO.  He worked most of his life as a factory worker in furniture manufacturing.  He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Springfield, MO.  He enjoyed gardening and especially liked working with wood in his garage workshop.  Richard will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Hall, Fredrick Stanley:
Fredrick Stanley Hall, son of Jubal Stanley and Katherine Carrie Light Hall, was born Sep 25, 1941, in Clendenin, WV.  He departed this life Saturday, Jul 22, 1995, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 53 years, 9 months and 27 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers Robert and John Hall.  Fred is survived by his companion Susan Mundy of the home; two sisters Nancy Karickhoff of Arlington, TX, and Judy Harold of Charleston, WV; 7 half-sisters; 3 nieces; 4 nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in West Virginia and continued to live there until after he attended college.  For several years he lived in Florida, and in 1974, he moved to Houston, TX.  On Jul 1, 1994, he and Susan made their home in Hartville, MO.  Throughout the years, he worked as a Volkswagen mechanic and turned his love of Volkswagen automobiles into a lifetime hobby.  Fred had professed his faith in Christ and had made his peace with the Lord.  He enjoyed restoring Volkswagen engines and the cars themselves and also liked racing.  For several years, he was a member of the North Houston Volkswagen Club.  He greatly loved his pet poodle Bounce, and found much enjoyment in taking care of her.  Fred will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial Rock Chapel Cemetery.

Hampton, Marvin Lawrence:
Marvin Lawrence Hampton, son of Lawrence D. and Elsie Faye Bond Hampton, was born Oct 14, 1918 in Webster County, MO.  He departed this life Jul 5, 1989 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 21 days.  On Jan 8, 1946, he was united in marriage to Grace Mae Hughes and to this union two children were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 infant brothers Cleo, Murrell and Lowell.  Marvin is survived by his wife Grace of the home; one daughter Shirley Pasley, Hartville, MO; one son Dennis Hampton, Hartville, MO; 3 brothers Vernon and Hershel Hampton, Springfield, MO, and Don Hampton, Bernie, MO; 4 grandchildren Mike and Cindy Pasley and Christie and Aaron Hampton; a number of nieces and nephews; also a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Webster County, MO, and then moved with his family to Arknasas in 1925.  In 1930 he returned to Wright County and lived there for the rest of his life.  For 13 years he drove and hauled a can milk route to Lebanon and also owned and managed his family farm.  He made many good friends while driving his route.  Marvin was a member of the Mount Olive Church and then later attended the Odin Community Church.  He enjoyed bird hunting and also liked to fish.  He will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a caring friend.  Burial Mount Zion Cemetery.

Hamrick, Randy Joe:
Randy Joe Hamrick, son of John Wesley and Mary Lee Coday Hamrick, was born Nov 15, 1962, in Lebanon, MO.  He departed this life Saturday, Dec 20, 1997, from injuries received in an automobile accident west of Hartville, MO, at the age of 35 years, 1 month and 5 days.  On Jul 26, 1996, he was united in marriage to Shari Marie Bingham.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Cecil and Florence Coday; and his paternal grandparents J. D. and Idell Hamrick.  Randy is survived by his wife Shari of the home; two sons Nicholas and Samuel Hamrick of the home; a daughter Kayla Hamrick of the home; a step-daughter Jillian Doyle of the home; a step-son Dustin Doyle of the home; his parents John and Mary Lee Hamrick of Hartville, MO; a sister and brother-in-law Sherrie and Pat Hake of Springfield, MO; his father-in-law Max Bingham of Taft, Ca; his mother-in-law Sonja Spell of Mansfield, MO; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.  He was born in Lebanon, but lived most of his childhood in Hartville, where he graduated from Hartville High School in the Class of 1981.  He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army from 1981 until 1983, and then continued to serve in the Army Reserves.  After he was honorably discharged from the military, he returned to Hartville where he worked at various different jobs.  He had driven a truck, worked in construction, and was currently employed as a welder for Hutchens Industries in Mansfield.  His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his children.  In his spare time, he liked to fish and hunt, and also enjoyed making things with his hands.  He was an outgoing person who loved to tease and laugh with his friends, and was always willing to help anyone in need.  Randy was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Harrison, Jamie Scott:
Jamie Scott Harrison, son of Logan L. Harrison and Shirley A. Volner Crossland, was born Apr 18, 1972 in Douglas County, MO.  He departed this life Sep 5, 1992 in the Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, MO, at the age of 20 years, 4 months and 17 days.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Nettie Harrison.  Jamie is survived by his father Logan L. Harrison of Hartville, MO; his mother and step-father Shirley and Lewis "Shorty" Crossland of Hartville, MO; his maternal grandparents Orval and Martha Volner of Hartville, MO; his fiance Ericka Moore of Bucyrus, MO; 6 brothers Orval and Ernie Harrison, both of Success, MO, Benny Harrison and Robert Moore, Jr., both of Hartville, MO, Dustin Harrison of Bucyrus, MO, and Logan Lemuel Harrison of Ontario, CA; 6 sisters Jessica Harrison, Lillie, Christina and Robin Moore, all of Hartville, MO, Mary Bennett and Frances Harrison, both of Fresno, CA; several aunts and uncles; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.  He was born in Douglas County but lived most of his life in Wright County and the Hartville area.  He was employed by the Tabor Sawmill and also worked at farming.  Jamie had made his peace with the Lord and enjoyed attending church.  He greatly liked working on cars and doing mechanic work.  He also enjoyed drawing and going fishing.  The memory of a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend will be cherished by loved ones and all who knew Jamie.  Burial Durbin Cemetery.

Harrison, Logan Lindburgh:
Logan Lindburgh Harrison, son of Walter Scott and Nettie Armeldia Summers Harrison, was born Mar 15, 1927 in Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Monday, Aug 7, 1995, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO, at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 22 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Jamie Scott Harrison; a sister Dale Southerland; and two half-brothers Dick and Samuel Smith.  Logan is survived by 5 sons Benny, Ernie, D. J., and Orval Harrison, all of Hartville, MO, and Logan L. "Buster" Harrison of Ontario, CA; 3 daughters Lillie Moore of Success, MO, Frances Harrison and Mary Bennett, both of Fresno, CA; 4 sisters Alberta Greathouse of Hunter, MO, Clydia Todd of Lebanon, MO, Phyllis Boyer of Sanger, CA, and Mary Tucker of Fresno, CA; 18 grandchildren; his companion Sue Simmons of Hartville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He lived most of his life in the Wright County area, where besides farming, he operated a saw mill and logging business throughout the years.  He was also a top rated mechanic and owned a garage in Lebanon for several years.  Logan served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.  He received the Bronze and Silver Stars and the Purple Heart during his service career.  He was very close to his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  In his spare time he loved to fish and race stock cars.  He liked to make things with his hands, was particularly good with metal and was very adept at welding.  He also was an inventor.  Logan was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial Durbin Cemetery.

Hart, Dale Dean:
Dale Dean Hart, son of Dale Lee Hart and Mildred Frances Dorris Hart, was born Sep 20, 1967 in Kansas City, MO.  He departed this life Oct 11, 1992, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Hartville, MO at the age of 25 years and 15 days.  On Feb 13, 1988, he was united in marriage to Pamela Jean Coffman and to this union one daughter was born.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Fran and Florence Dorris; his paternal grandmother Myrtle Hart; and his grandmother-in-law Dessie Kelley.  Dean is survived by his wife Pamela of the home; his daughter Laura Hart of the home; his mother Mildred Hart of Hartville, MO; his father and step-mother Dale and Ruth Hart of Hartville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Lonnie Pool of Pamona, MO; one step-brother Allen Hart of Hartville, MO; his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother Lee and Violet Hart of Hartville, MO; two sets of aunts and uncles Melvin and Edna Dorris and Leonard and Nadine Hart; one aunt Wilma Jean Jones; his mother-in-law and her husband Imogene and David Lowery; his father-in-law and his wife Bob and Berta Coffman; a special cousin Vicki Tooley; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He lived most of his life in the Hartville area and was a graduate of the Hartville High School.  For several years he had been employed by the Mid-Am Metal Company in Rogersville, MO, where his co-workers and many friends referred to him as "Dean-o".  He was a good provider for his family and worked many long hours to see that they had what they needed.  Dean had made his peace with the Lord and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, taking float trips, riding his motorcycle and barbeques.  He was a friendly and outgoing man who always had a smile and a laugh for those who knew him.  He was always ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.  Dean was a devoted and loving husband and father and made his wife, his daughter and his familiy the most important people in his life.  He loved his famiy and cared deeply about his neighbors and friends.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial Dorris Cemetery.

Hart, Fredia V.:
Fredia V. Hart, daughter of Andrew and Havana Pettit Weaver, was born Oct 26, 1918, in Odin, MO.  She departed this life Sep 3, 1990 in the Mercy Tri-County Hospital, Mansfield, MO, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 7 days.  On Apr 8, 1938, she was united in marriage to Ike V. Hart and to this union 3 children were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons Russell and Herman (Pete) Hart; and one brother Glen Weaver.  Fredia is survived by her husband Ike of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Mike Allison, Oklahoma City, OK; one sister Lavon VonBurg, Springfield, MO; 3 brothers Bob Weaver, Oklahoma City, OK, Charles Weaver, Olathe, KS and Bill Weaver, Richland, WA; 2 grandsons Russell and Ronnie Allison, 2 great-grandsons Robert and Kyle Allison; a special young man Russell Kelley, who was just like a son to Fredia and Ike; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She lived most of her life in the Wright County area.  Fredia had made her profession of faith and was baptized in 1972.  She attended the Hartville First Freewill Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and was a devoted wife and homemaker.  Fredia will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Hart, Lee Howard:
Lee Howard Hart, son of Eddie Lee and Minta Mae Campbell Hart, was born Oct 11, 1909, on the family farm in Wright County, near Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Monday, Nov 11, 1996, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 87 years and one month.  On Jul 21, 1928, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Robson and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.  Together they shared 47 years before Myrtle passed away on Jun 2, 1975.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Dean Hart; and a daughter-in-law Ruth Hart.  Lee is survived by two sons Dale Hart and Leonard Hart and his wife Nadine, all of Hartville, MO; a daughter Wilma Jean Pruitt of New Orleans, LA; 4 grandsons Danny Lawler of Seabeck, WA and Russell Lawler of Springfield, MO, who were both raised by and lived with Lee and Myrtle from childhood through high school and were considered to be their own children, Jim Hart of Kansas City, MO, and Allen Hart of Hartville, MO; two granddaughters Bonnie Pool of Pomona, MO and Neta Jane Lockhoff of the state of Alabama; 7 great-grandsons and 2 great-great-granddaughters.  He was born and raised on his family's farm near Hartville and lived most of his life on the same farm.  Throughout his life he worked as a stock farmer.  Lee had made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized in 1976.  He attended the Pleasant Grove (Cope) Baptist Church, near St. George, MO.  In 1976, he was united in marriage to Violet Jemes and together they shared the last 20 years.  Lee is also survived by his second wife Violet of the home; 5 stepsons Clifford Jemes of Lebanon, MO, Buel, Eldon, Clinton and Clayton Jemes, all of Grovesprings, MO; 3 step-daughters Loretta Jones of Falcon, MO, Carol Nelson of Grovespring, MO, and Marie Klien of Richland, MO; a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.  He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed working on the family farm.  He possessed a great sense of humor and always had a story, joke, or tale to tell.  Lee will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Hart, Ruth:
Ruth Hart, daughter of Alfred Leroy and Ellen May Highley Black, was born Feb 9, 1957, in Arkansas City, KS.  She departed this life Tuesday, Oct 10, 1995, in her home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 38 years, 8 months and 1 day.  On Jan 23, 1981, she was united in marriage to Dale Lee Hart.  She was preceded in death by her father; her paternal grandparents Willie and Dora Black; and her maternal grandfather Champ Highley.  Ruth is survived by her husband Dale of the home; a son and daughter-in-law Allen and Cheryll Hart of the home; her mother Ellen Black of Hartville, MO; her maternal grandmother Hester Highley of Mountain Grove, MO; 3 brothers Doug Black of Lebanon, MO, Jim Black of Mountain Grove, MO, and Travis Black of Mansfield, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in Arkansas City, KS and moved with her family to California, where they lived for several years.  The family returned to Hartville and Ruth graduated from Hartville High School.  She was employed at the H. D. Lee Company for 10 years, and co-owned and operated Ruth's Country Kitchen Restaurant in Hartville from August 1991 until June 1995.  Ruth had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartville.  She enjoyed sewing and liked going to the lake, before her health began to fail.  She was a unique and caring person and enjoyed being and visiting with people.  She loved her family dearly and they were very important to her.  Ruth was a loving wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Haskew, Cora Ann:
Cora Ann Haskew, daughter of Thomas and Opal Sibley Huddleston, was born Jul 26, 1937 in Mangum, OK.  She departed this life Nov 7, 1989 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO, at the age of 52 years, 3 months and 11 days.  On Sep 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Billy Clay Haskew.  She was preceded in death by one infant brother.  Cora is survived by her husband Billy of the home; 3 sons Billy Bob Haskew, Hartville, MO, Jerry Haskew, Mountain Grove, MO, and Ky Haskew, Plato, MO; 2 daughters Peggy Ledge, Little Rock, AR, and Pat Evans, Parsons, KS; her parents Thomas and Opal Huddleston, Loyalton, CA; 2 sisters Beatrice Bonnett, Sacramento, CA, and Katie Kirk, Herlong, CA; 1 brother Truman Huddleston, Loyalton, CA; 10 grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in Oklahoma and then moved with her family to California when she was 9 years old.  Following her marriage, she and her husband spent 20 years in California and then moved their home to Hartville, MO, in 1971.  Cora enjoyed sewing, gardening and particularly loved being with her grandchildren.  Cora will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and a caring friend.  Burial Haskew Family Farm.

Hathaway, Connie:
Connie Hathaway, daughter of William Andrew and Ruby Murl Mings Prock, was born Jun 28, 1945 in Walla Walla, WA.  She departed this life Thursday, Dec 26, 1996, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 51 years, 5 months, and 28 days.  On Jun 23, 1963, she was united in marriage to James David Hathaway and to this union 4 daughters and 2 sons were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother.  Connie is survived by her husband Jim of the home; 4 daughters Shelly Hathaway and Stacy Emery, both of Plato, MO, Susan Shrode of Lynchburg, MO, and Sherelle Hathaway of the home; 2 sons Chris Hathaway of Plato, MO, and Jason Hathaway of the home; 3 grandchildren Javan, Jade and Jasiah Shrode; a sister Carol Coleman of Lebanon, MO; a brother Dale Prock of Marshfield, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in the state of Washington, and was raised in the Competition, MO, area.  After she and Jim were married, they continued to make their home in the Plato area and lovingly raised their familly.  For the last several years, she had owned and operated H and H Trash Pick Up, and H and H Kennels, where she raised Golden Retrievers and Akitas.  Throughout the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and worked side by side with her husband in the management of their farm.  Connie had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mount Carney Christian Church.  In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and fishing, and liked taking care of her home.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  Burial Mount Carney Cemetery.

Hawks, Burton:
Burton Hawks, son of William Washington and Minnie M. Sellers Hawks, was born Jul 6, 1899, in the Oklahoma Territory.  He departed this life Friday, Feb 7, 1997, in the Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, MO, at the age of 97 years, 7 months, and 1 day.  In 1929, he was united in marriage to Dora Lucille McNabb, and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and a daughter-in-law Linda Hawks.  Burton is survived by his wife of 67 years Lucille of Hartville, MO; two sons Bobby Hawks of Lebanon, MO, and Burt Hawks and his wife Dorothy of Hartville, MO; a daughter Betty Lou Hawks of Houston, TX; 2 grandchildren Suzanne Hamlet of Bolivar, MO, and Kelly Hawks of Austin, TX; a great-granddaughter Krystal Dawn Hamlet; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in the Oklahoma Territory, before it became a state, and lived all of his childhood there.  As a teenager, he moved to Kingsville, TX, where he later met and married Lucille.  They made their home in Kingsville for many years and lovingly raised their family.  Besides working as a stockman and farmer, he was employed as a civil service worker at the Kingsville-Corpus Christi Naval Air Station until his retirement in 1970.  In 1990, he and Lucille moved to Wright County, MO.  Burton was raised in the Baptist faith, but was a longtime active member of Christ Methodist Church in Kingsville, where he served as a deacon.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful roses, and listening to country music.  His family was very important to him, and he greatly enjoyed spending time with them.  Burton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

C. and Ida Pearman Young, was born Oct 18, 1907 in Wright County, MO.  She departed this life Oct 26, 1989 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO, at the age of 82 years and 8 days.  On Feb 23, 1929, she was united in marriage to Chester Henslee.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Chester on Dec 22, 1987; two sisters Ethel and Ruth; and two brothers Willard and Owen.  Gladys is survived by 3 sons Darrell Henslee, Springfield, MO, Jack Henslee, St. Louis, MO, and Carl Henslee, Marshfield, MO; 3 sisters May Pyatt and Lois Latimer, both of Springfield, MO, and Edith Stone, Peculiar, MO; one brother Ralph Young, Hartville, MO; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She grew up and lived all of her life in the Wright County, MO area until moving to Springfield, MO, in 1988.  Gladys was a devoted homemaker and loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed making, repairing and working with dolls of all sorts.  She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial Little Creek Cemetery.

Henslee, Osa Ola:
Osa Ola Henslee, daughter of Marshall Erie and Opal Alta Newton Dodson, was born Mar 8, 1918 near Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Thursday, Oct 11, 1995, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 3 days.  On Jun 7, 1934, she was united in marriage to Hugh E. Henslee, and to this union one daughter was born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hugh on Aug 4, 1984; and a brother Odis Dodson.  Osa is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Helen and Ervin Crisp of Springfield, MO; 4 grandchildren Carlene Carriger of Hartville, MO, Allen Crisp of Morrisville, MO, and Marvin and Ricky Crisp, both of Springfield MO; 3 great-grandchildren Anthony, Summer, and Damen; 3 step-grandchildren Sherie, Shauna, and Tara; a brother Dean Dodson of Springfield, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born on the family farm in Wright County, MO, and lived all of her life there.  She was employed at the Tobin Hamilton Shoe Company in Mansfield for 20 years, and was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  She loved children, and enjoyed baby-sitting.  Osa had professed her faith in Christ and attended church services.  She liked going places on the OATS bus and especially enjoyed the trips to Branson and to see and hear singers.  She always tried to attend the monthly singing sessions at the Senior Citizens, as she loved gospel music.  Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed having them around her.  She also liked being able to take care of her home.  She was a very caring person who was willing to give a helping hand to someone in need.  Osa was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery

Hensley, Donnie Lee:
Donnie Lee Hensley, son of Everett H. and Dessie Agnes Smith Hensley, was born Mar 24, 1936, near Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Friday, Dec 12, 1997, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 18 days.  On Mar 8, 1974, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Harley, and together they shared the last 23 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter Casey; and his father-in-law Cecil Harley.  Donnie is survived by his wife Linda of the home; 4 daughters Gerri and Tracy Hensley, both of the home, Tammy Napier and her husband Tony, and Shelia Napier and her husband Tom, all of Hartville, MO; 4 grandsons Neithan, Kyle, Nicholas and Ethen; a sister Beth Robertson and her husband Junior of Springfield, MO; 5 brothers Dale Hensley and his wife Phyllis of Seymour, MO, Glenn Hensley of Ozark, MO, Jim Hensley and his wife Judy of Napa, CA, Morris Hensley and his wife Beverly of Madison Heights, MI and Bob Hensley and his wife Pam of Springfield, MO; his mother-in-law Helen Harley of Hartville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was a lifelong resident of the Hartville area and had worked as a carpenter throughout his life.  For several years he was employed by Laclede Electric Co-op.  Donnie was of the Pentecostal faith and had attended the Sunshine Church near Hartville.  Through the years he had developed a close personal relationship with God.  In his spare time he enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and working in his garden.  He also liked to do woodworking projects.  His familly was very important to him, and he enjoyed a very special bond with his daughters.  Donnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial Coon Creek Cemetery.

Hensley, Lola E. Kelley:
Lola E. Kelley Hensley, daughter of Paul and Mollie Huffman Kreisel, was born Mar 28, 1901 in Ava, MO.  She departed this life Feb 19, 1992 in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mountain Grove, MO, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 21 days.  On Dec 21, 1921, she was united in marriage to Charles Kelley and to this union two children were born.  On Oct 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Austin Hensley, who preceded her in death in August of 1967.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son Charles Kelley, Jr., two brothers; two sisters; and two step-grandchildren.  Lola is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bernal and Karen Kelley of Hartville, MO; two step-sons Bobby Hensley of Everton, MO, and Jasper Hensley of Rockford, IL; six step-grandchildren; a number of step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was converted as a young girl and was of the Baptist faith.  Since 1987, Lola had been confined to a wheel chair and had spent most of her last years in nursing home care.  She bore her illness with patience and always had a smile for everyone.  She enjoyed the outdoors and loved working in her garden for as long as her health permitted.  Lola will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, step-grandmother, aunt and a caring friend.  Burial Little Creek Cemetery.

Hickman, Cyrus William "Kie":
Cyrus William "Kie" Hickman, son of Marve H. and Dollie E. Smith Hickman, was born Jan 15, 1905 in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Jul 23, 1992 in Doctors Hospital in Springfield, MO, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 8 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Ferguson and M. H. Hickman; two sisters Jewell Hickman and Lucille Gordon.  Kie is survived by two sisters Genell Lyman of San Rafael, CA, and Jeanette Rippee of Lakewood, CA; 9 nephews, 4 nieces; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County and lived there throughout his life except for the last 10 years living in Springfield, MO.  Kie had made his peace with the Lord and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church.  He was a caring person and enjoyed singing and visiting with family and friends.  Kie was a loving brother and uncle and will be fondly remembered and missed by all of his famiy and friends.  Burial Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Highley, Champ Clark:
Champ Clark Highley, son of George Douglas and Ruth Ellen Webb Highley, was born April 14, 1914 in Clinton, Missouri.  He departed this life June 21, 1992 in the Mansfield Nursing Home in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, two months and seven days.  On October 16, 1938 he was united in marriage to Hester Lucille Spurgeon and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Harold, Sterling, Leland, Henry and George; four sisters, Gertrude, Lena, Iva and Cora; and one grandson, Yancy Lee Bryant.  Champ is survived by his wife, Hester Highley, of the home; two daughters, Ellen Black, of Hartville, Missouri and Oneta Bryant, of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Harold Highley, of Jacksonville, Florida and Leroy Highley, out of state; one sister Isabella Shoemaker, of Flint, Michigan; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Clinton, Missouri and then moved with his family to Carthage, Missouri where he lived until after he and Hester were married.  In 1949 he and Hester moved to Kansas and then in 1949 they moved to California.  In 1972 they settled in Hartville, Missouri where they made their home for the last twenty years. Early in his life, Champ was employed as a die caster and then he worked for several years as a stone saw operator for the Carthage Marble Company. He enjoyed singing and writing poetry and like building things.  He was a very caring person and was always willing to help anyone in need.  Champ was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.

Hightower, Clifford Lee:
Clifford Lee Hightower, son of Charles Evert and Ollie Jane Robertson Hightower, was born Aug 23, 1911 in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Sunday, Aug 27, 1995, in the Hartville Care Center in Hartville, MO, at the age of 84 years and 4 days.  On Dec 13, 1930, he was united in marriage to Julia Ellen McNealy, and to this union 3 daughters and 1 son were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Julia Ellen on Jul 12, 1975; a brother Dalton Hightower; and a grandson Allen Keith Crain.  Clifford is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law Ruby and Irvin Mackie of Grovespring, MO, Faye and Ralph Neasby of Kansas City, MO, and Patty and Charles Crain of Springfield, MO; a son and daughter-in-law Charles and Dianne Hightower of Lebanon, MO; 6 sisters Dulcia Childers, Edna Burris and Delores Shaddy, all of Grovespring, MO, Grace Kelsay and Glennis Hogan, both of Hartville, MO, and Betty Grey of Alamosa, CO; 3 brothers Frank and Ezra Hightower, both of Grovespring, MO, and Herman Hightower of Hartville, MO; 3 sisters-in-law Norma McNealy of Colton, CA, Lorena McNealy of Hartville, MO and Fostene McNealy of Springfield, MO; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephes; a very special friend Bessie Fern Stigall of Hartville, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He lived all of his life in Wright County, Missouri near Grovespring.  Throughout his life he owned and operated a farm and worked for many years at the Rice Stix Factory, which later became the H. D. Lee Company.  Clifford professed his faith in Christ at an early age and during his younger years, he attended the Elk Creek Baptist Church.  For the last 30 years, he faithfully attended the Hartville Assembly of God Church until his health began to fail.  He was also a former member of the Grovespring Lion's Club.  He was an avid horseman and greatly enjoyed his time outdoors.  He liked working in his garden and was especially proud of his tomatoes.  His family was very important to him and he loved spending time with them.  Clifford was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial Shaddy Cemetery.

Hightower, Novella Alverta:
Novella Alverta Hightower, daughter of Harley Herman and Rushia Isabel Priester Hightower, was born Nov 23, 1924, near Grovespring, MO.  She departed this life Wednesday, Mar 22, 1995, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 29 days.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Novella is survived by 4 brothers Noel Hightower of Lebanon, MO, Russell Hightower of Gravois Mills, MO, and Vance and Lane Hightower, both of Grovespring, MO; a sister Charlene Barclay of Lebanon, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised on the family farm near Grovespring and received her education there.  In 1950, the family moved to Lebanon where she lived for most of her life.  About 25 years ago, she was a part of the volunteer group that went to Fort Leonard Wood to sew and patch the soldiers' uniforms.  She returned to the Grovespring area in 1981.  For many years, she helped take care of elderly persons in their home.  Novella was saved and baptized at the age of 16 and was a long time member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.  She enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, and studying her family genealogy.  She also liked listening to gospel music.  Novella will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial Shaddy Cemetery.

Hillman, Frank Roberts:
Frank Roberts Hillman, son of Eugene J. and Edna M. Roberts Hillman, was born Dec 17, 1922 in Ensley, MI.  He departed this life January 13, 1992 in his home near Grovespring, MO, at the age of 69 years and 26 days.  On Mar 22, 1951, he was united in marriage to Marjorie J. Harrod and to this union two sons and two daughtrs were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Norma Rambo.  Frank is survived by his wife Marjorie of the home; two sons Clark Hillman of Springfield, MO, and Michael Hillman and his wife Alana of Rolla, MO; two daughters Laura Hillman of Springfield, MO, and Karen Day and her husband Steve of Marshfield, MO; two granddaughters Jessica Hillman of Silver Spring, MD and Kalie Day of Marshfield, MO; one sister Doris Quinn of Wyoming, MI; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was raised on the family farm in Ensley, MI and after graduating from high school, he continued his studies at Michigan State University.  Later he also attended the University of Utah for one year while he worked on his graduate degree.  From 1942 until 1946, Frank served his country faithfully in the United States Army.  He was part of the Army mule pack and saw action in the C.B.1. Theatre of Operations and in the Phillipines.  Early in his business career, he worked at the Bank for Cooperatives in St. Paul, MN.  He also was employed by the Federal Land Bank of Michigan as their Regional Manager, was a health insector in Muskegon, MI, and had taught Veterans Agriculture in Big Rapids, MI, and later in Hartville and Grovespring, MO.  For 23 years he was employed by the Federal Government and retired in 1975 as the Chief of Operations for the Farm Credit Administration in Washington, D.C.  He had always had an interest in farming and had owned a farm in Michigan earlier, so upon his retirement he bought a 320 acre farm near Grovespring, MO, and operated a beef cattle business.  Frank was a member of the First Christian Church of Hartville where he served as an Elder.  He had been chairman of the church board and had served as chairman of the building committee.  He was very active in church work and enjoyed his church fellowship.  He was a member of the V.F.W., the national and state Cattlemen's Association, the Central Ozarks Forage Council, the Soil Conservation District and the Neighbor to Neighbor Program.  He enjoyed working on his farm and being outdoors and had a great interest in the conservation of our natural resources.  Frank will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a caring friend and will be greatly missed.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Hines, Roxie Marie:
Roxie Marie Hines, daughter of Jack Travis and Della Barbee Duncan, was born Mar 3, 1907 in Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Nov 15, 1990, in the Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Springfield, MO, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 12 days.  In 1931 she was united in marriage to John Hines.  She was preceded in death by her husband John; one son Harry Duncan; one brother Edward Duncan; one sister Loretta McDonald.  Roxie is survived by one daughter Linda Hines, Fremont, CA; 3 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; a number of cousins; two special cousins George Duncan and Lilly England; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She lived most of her life in the Wright County area.  She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her home and family.  Roxie attended Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church and had made her peace with the Lord.  Roxie will be fondly remembered and missed by all her family, neighbors, and friends.  Burial Hogue Cemetery.

Hintze, Robert Wayne:
Robert Wayne Hintze, son of Charles and Edith Rebecca Moch Hintze, was born Nov 28, 1919, in Davenport, IA.  He departed this life Jan 29, 1991, in his home in Lebanon, MO, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 1 day.  On Aug 20, 1945, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Jeannette Karr and to this union one daughter was born.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marjorie on Oct 3, 1987.  Robert is survived by one daughter Velvet Fackeldey, Lebanon, MO; two grandchildren James Fackeldey, Lebanon, MO, and Jeannette Wallace, Phillipsburg, MO; two great-grandchildren Alexis and Nichole Fackeldey, Lebanon, MO; one brother Charles Hintze, state of Florida; two sisters Ruth Swisher, state of Florida and Marilyn Tummire, Moline, IL; 9 nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and grew up in Davenport, IA, and then served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army.  Following his marriage, he made his home in the Illinois-Iowa Quad City area.  He was employed as a machinist for most of his life and at the time of his retirement, he was working for the John Deere Company in Moline, IL.  In 1981, he retired to Hartville and lived there until just a few weeks ago.  Robert was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1014 in Moline, IL.  He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to mow the grass and work in his garden.  He also was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds.  He loved his family dearly and was very proud of each of them.  He took special joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Robert will be fondly remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring friend.  Burial Steele Memorial Cemetery.
