McAlister, Abram John:
Abram John McAlister, son of John R. and Patti L. Perry McAlister, was born September 25, 1976 in Hartville, Missouri.  He departed this life Friday, July 11, 1997, in an accidental drowning in the Salmon River, near Elk City, Idaho, at the age of twenty years, nine months, and sixteen days.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ray Edward McAlister.  "Abe", as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by his parents, John and Patti McAlister, of Hartville, Missouri; two sisters, Hannah Feeback, and her husband, Will, of Ridgedale, Missouri, and Sarah McAlister of Hartville, Missouri; his paternal grandmother, Ruby McAlister, of Hartvile, Misouri; his maternal grandparents, B. J. and Marjorie Perry, of Greenville, South Carolina; his maternal great-grandmother, Blanche Carson Perry, of Orangeburg, South Carolina; as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was born and raised in the Hartville area and graduated from Hartville High School in the Class of 1995.  In the Fall of 1995, he began his studies in conservation at the College of the Ozarks, in Point Lookout, Missouri.  On June 10, 1997, he went to work for the United States Forestry Service and was stationed in Elk City, Idaho, where he was to be a firefighter.  At the age of eleven, Abe was saved and baptized into the Little Creek Baptist Church, near Hartville.  During his high school years, he had been active in the Future Farmers of America, the Hartville Band, and Students Against Drunk Driving.  He liked spending time working with his dad in the cabinet shop and helping him do installations.  He possessed a great love for life and worked hard at everything he did.  It was his dream to become a Forest Ranger and, as of this summer, he had made the first step to fulfilling that dream.  He was a great son and brought much joy into the lives of his parents and all of his family.  In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.  He also like music of all kinds.  Abe was a loving son, brother, grandson, ephew and cousin, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and lived him.  Burial:  Little Creek Cemetery

McAlister, Eugene Frank "Porky":
Eugene Frank "Porky" McAlister, son of Oliver Frank and Cleo Opal Pierce McAlister, was born Jun 22, 1935, in Sterling, CO.  He departed this life Monday, Nov 18, 1996, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 26 days.  On Apr 29, 1955, he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Boyd and to this union 3 sons and a daughter were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son Bo Shawn McAlister on Oct 15, 1994.  "Porky" is survived by his wife Jo of the home; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Tamera McAlister of Sulphur, LA, and Gary and Tina McAlister of Hartville, MO; a daughter and son-in-law Laveta and John Eaton of Cuba, MO; a sister Ann Thompson of Comanche, OK; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Colorado and in 1945 moved with his family to Comanche, OK, where he spent most of his growing up years.  He attended college at Oklahoma City Christian University.  After he and Jo were married, they resided in Oklahoma for several years.  In 1974 they made their home in Wright County near Odin, where they lovingly raised their family.  Throughout his life he worked as a pipeline welder, working in all the states and other parts of the world, including India and Canada.  He took great pride in his work, and had taught many young men the trade.  He was a member of Local Pipeline #798 in Tulsa, OK.  "Porky" professed his faith in Christ and attended the Hartville Assembly of God Church.  In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, visiting with his family and friends and working on his farm and the pipeline.  "Porky" was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the memories he provided his family and friends will live on forever.  Burial:  Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Cuba MO.

McClanahan, Lola Ray:
Lola Ray McClanahan, daughter of Perry Thomas and Dora Clementine Dodson Weaver, was born Jan 14, 1908, in Webster County, MO.  She departed this life Oct 10, 1991, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 26 days.  On Aug 22, 1931, she was united in marriage to Charles Edward McClanahan and to this union one daughter and one son were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles on Jan 23, 1986; one sister Marie Weaver; and 3 brothers Monroe, Ernest and Elmer Weaver.  Lola is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Wanda June and A. J. Helsley of Hartville, MO; her son and daughter-in-law Roger and Linda McClanahan of Hartville, MO; 5 grandchildren Debbie Davis, Jeff Helsley, Cindy, Marsha and Amy McClanahan; 4 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters Verbal Medlock and Lovie Rader, both of Conway, MO, Inez Jackson of Niangua, MO, Myrtle Rippee of Springfield, MO, Eunice Pearson of Marshfield, MO, and Mary Colten of Grovespring, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised in Webster County, MO, and lived there until after her marriage to Charley.  In February of 1941 she and Charley moved to Wright County where they owned and operated a dairy farm until their retirement.  Following their retirement they made their home in Hartville.  Lola was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church and then following her move to Wright County she attended the First Freewill Baptist Church in Hartville.  She was a devoted homemaker and mother and loved her family dearly.  She liked being at home and spending time cooking and visiting with her family and friends.  She was also an avid quilter.  Lola will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a caring friend.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

McCrite, Evalee Evelyn:
Evalee Evelyn McCrite, daughter of Martin and Mary Riden Farris, was born Feb 3, 1909, near Hartville, MO.  She departed this life Saturday, Sep 10, 1994, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 7 days.  On Dec 26, 1927, she was united in marriage to Edward Abraham McCrite and to this union 2 daughters and 4 sons were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward on May 4, 1985; a daughter Frances Carpenter; 4 brothers Culvey, George, Franklin and Ed Farris; 3 sisters Edna Farris, Martha Eden, and Matella McCrite.  Evalee is survived by a daughter Joan McCrite of Hartville, MO; 4 sons Eugene McCrite of Puyallup, WA, Leslie McCrite of Las Vegas, NV, Boyd McCrite of Payson, AZ, and Edward McCrite of Mansfield, MO; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born on a farm near Hartville and raised in the Wright County area.  As a teenager, she moved to the Mansfield area where she met and married Edward.  They made their home in Wright County for two years before moving to Colorado where they stayed until 1942.  They lived in Arizona for many years before Edward's retirement in 1972, when they came back to Missouri and made their home near Mansfield.  In February of 1990, she moved back to Hartville where she had lived for the last four years.  Throughout her life she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  Evalee had professed her faith in Christ and attended the Full Gospel Church at Mansfield before her health began to fail.  She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Women's Club in Mansfield.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, growing beautiful flowers and collecting recipes.  She was very devoted to her family and loved having them around her.  Evalee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial:  Cedar Gap Cemetery.

McDaris, Gene Courtney:
Gene Courtney McDaris, son of Dow Wesley and Essa Clarisa Barr McDaris, was born Dec 7, 1921, near Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Monday, Jun 9, 1997, in the Heritage Place Nursing Home in Kalispell, MT, at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 2 days.  On May 30, 1957, he was united in marriage to Vera Esther Witt and together they shared 40 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter Gina Johnson.  Gene is survived by his wife Vera of the home; 4 daughters Janice Shera of Seymour, IN, Ruby McCall of Marshfield, MO, Nina Davis of Grovespring, MO, and Arlene Johnson of Rancho Cordova, CA; 3 sons Sam Middleton of Kalispell, MT, Clarence Middleton of Ekalaka, MT, and Albert Middleton of Jerome, ID; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother Arque McDaris of Hartville, MO; a sister Irene Dowden of Graff, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in the Hartville area and graduated from Hartville High School.  After graduating, he moved west to Idaho and made his home in Buhl, ID, for many years.  Late in the 1980's, he and Vera returned to Hartville for 4 years before moving back to Idaho.  For the last few years, he and Vera had made their home in Kalispell, MT.  Throughout his life he worked as a meat cutter for Carter Meat Packing Company and various grocery stores.  Gene made his profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Coon Creek Church.  While living in Buhl, ID, he attended a Baptist Church there.  In his spare time he enjoyed playing dominos and other games, and loved being with his family.  Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

McNealy, Connie Ray:
Connie Ray McNealy, son of Ezra and Etta Oliver McNealy, was born Mar 14, 1902, in Cole Camp, MO.  He departed this life Jul 8, 1992, in the Mansfield Nursing Home in Mansfield, MO, at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 24 days.  On Jun 20, 1923, he was united in marriage to Thula Faye Winn, who preceded him in death on Nov 11, 1990.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters Artie Tuter, Ethel Henslee, Ruth Long, and Julia Hightower; and 4 brothers Ezra, John, Loman, and Jesse McNealy.  Connie is survived by 2 brothers Lawrence McNealy and his wife Fosteen of Springfield, MO, and Bervil McNealy and his wife Norma of Rialto, CA; 3 sisters-in-law Lorena McNealy and Leota Young, both of Hartville, MO, and Ida McNealy of Hampton, IA; 2 brothers-in-law Lester Henslee of Marshfield, MO, and Clifford Hightower of Grovespring, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Douglas County and then moved with his family to Wright County when he was a teenager.  He lived most of his adult life in the Hartville area where he and Thula made their home on their farm for 67 years.  Connie professed his faith in Christ and was a long time member of the Red Hill Church.  He enjoyed his church fellowship and attended services regularly for as long as his health allowed.  He was a devoted husband to Thula and was always willing to help his friends and neighbors whenever they were in need.  Farming was his life and he enjoyed working in his garden.  Connie will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Little Creek Cemetery.

McNealy, Ezra Clifford:
Ezra Clifford McNealy, son of Ezra and Etta Oliver McNealy, was born Jan 19, 1917, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Dec 31, 1989, in Cox Medical Center, North, Springfield, MO, at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 12 days.  On Dec 7, 1940, he was united in marriage to Lorena Plaster and together they celebrated 49 happy years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters Artie Tuter, Ethel Henslee, Ruth Long and Julia Hightower; and 3 brothers John, Loman and Jessie McNealy.  Ezra is survived by his wife Lorena of the home; 3 brothers Connie McNealy, Hartville, MO, Lawrence McNealy, Springfield, MO, and Bervil McNealy, Rialto, CA; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County, MO, and lived in the Hartville area throughout most of his life.  Ezra and Lorena made their home together on the farm for many years.  Ezra professed his faith in God and was a member of the Hartville Church of God.  He served as a lay minister and Sunday School teacher for many years.  He enjoyed spending time with his horses and fox hunting.  In his later years he particularly liked working with his stock cows.  Ezra will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, brother, uncle and a caring friend.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

McNealy, Thula Faye Winn:
Thula Faye Winn McNealy, daughter of John William "Bill" and Margaret Louise McClanahan Winn, was born Jul 21, 1901, in Webster County, MO.  She departed this life Nov 11, 1990, in the Mansfield Nursing Home, Mansfield, MO, at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 20 days.  On Jun 20, 1923, she was united in marriage to C. R. "Connie" McNealy and for 67 years they made their home in the Hartville area.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother Harrison Winn; and 3 sisters Bertha Martin, Dona Clark and Bessie Bunn.  Thula is survived by her husband Connie of the home; 1 sister Leota Young, Hartville, MO; 1 step-brother Jake Claxton, Hartville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She lived most of her life in the Wright County area where she and her husband, Connie, farmed.  She enjoyed gardening and making quilts.  Thula had made her peace with the Lord and was a long time member of the Red Hill Church.  She bore her suffering with great strength and courage and remained cheerful until the end.  Thula will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt and a caring friend.  Burial:  Little Creek Cemetery.

Manier, Cecil Howard:
Cecil Howard Manier, son of Richard and Sarah Manier, was born Oct 16, 1899 in Tennessee.  He departed this life Sunday, Oct 23, 1994, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 95 years and 7 days.  He was united in marriage to Arzita Bedell and to this union a son and a daughter were born.  On Nov 24, 1939, he was united in marriage to Bernice Georgia Lee and together they shared almost 55 years.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; his son Emmit A. Manier; his daughter Helen Cecila Woods; 3 sisters Alma Webb, Lou Lawler, and Vallie Jarrett; and 2 brothers Pete and Zack Manier.  Cecil is survived by his wife Bernice of the home; 4 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; a number of great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Tennessee and, as a young boy, came to Wright County, MO, with his family in a covered wagon.  As a young adult he lived at Cave Springs and then later moved to Springfield.  After moving back to the Hartville area, he met and married Bernice and they lived in Springfield and in Kansas City for a short time before moving to their present farm near Hartville in the 1960's.  During his lifetime, he worked his own farm, was hired to help other farmers, and for 6 years was employed as a custodian for the Hartville Schools before retiring in 1966.  Cecil had professed his faith in Christ and was baptized and faithfully attended the Holiness Church near Hartville until his health began to fail.  He was a good neighbor and was always willing to help others.  He liked working on his farm, tending to his cattle, and enjoyed plowing his garden with his mule.  In his younger days, he loved playing baseball and watching ball games.  Cecil was a loving husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Maples, Leslie Eugene:
Leslie Eugene Maples, son of Donald Gene Maples and Jean Denise Kilburn Schwartz, was born Dec 12, 1969, in Springfield, MO.  He departed this life Feb 23, 1993, near Jacksonville, NC, at the age of 23 years, 2 months and 11 days.  On Aug 1, 1992, he was united in marriage to Alberta T. Lovejoy.  He was preceded in death by his stepfather Dale Schwartz; and his paternal grandfather Bud Maples.  Leslie is survived by his wife Alberta of the home; his father Gene Maples of Springfield, MO; his mother Jeanie Schwartz of Hartville, MO; a daughter Brittany; one brother James Maples of Hartville, MO; two sisters Tammie Bednarchik of Fort Kobbe, Panama, and Dena Culver of Hartville, MO; his paternal grandmother Rosie Maples of Springfield, MO; his maternal grandmother Ellis Kilburn of Conway, MO; his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother Max and Mary Lou Kilburn of Bois D'Arc, MO; his step-grandmother Naomi Schwartz of Hartville, MO; a niece Alycia Culver of Hartville, MO; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Fred and Chieko Lovejoy of Jacksonville, NC; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joann and Steven Lovejoy of Jacksonville, NC; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Springfield, MO, and moved several times with his family before he was 9 years old.  He lived in Hartville and attended school there until he was 16 and then lived in the Conway area and in the Stockton area and graduated from the Stockton High School.  After his graduation, Leslie entered the U.S. Marine Corps on Jul 31, 1989, and for the last two years had been stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC.  He was proud to be a Marine and to serve the country he loved and had made the military his life.  He professed his faith in Christ as a child and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church near Hartville.  He was a wonderful, loving husband whose family and friends were very important to him.  He enjoyed life and lived each moment to the fullest.  Leslie will be fondly remembered as a loving family man and a patriotic Marine and will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Twilight Cemetery, Conway MO.

Marah, Chester Coma:
Chester Coma Marah, son of William Thomas and Marie Todd Marah, was born Mar 31, 1907, near Manes, MO.  He departed this life Friday, Oct 11, 1996, in Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, MO, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 10 days.  On May 14, 1932, he was united in marriage to Lucille Ida Worrel and to this union two sons were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lucille on Aug 25, 1985; 5 sisters Elsie Newton, Ethyle Todd, Daisy Newton, Marie Branstetter, and Vernie Climer; and 2 brothers Theodore and Kenneth Marah.  Chester is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law Donald L., Sr. and Yvonne Marah of Kansas City, KS, and Billie R. and Pat Marah of McKinney, TX; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; a brother Gene Marah of Mountain Grove, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born near Manes, MO, and at the age of one year, moved with his family to the Odin community, where he lived for many years.  He and Lucille made their home in Hartville for a few years, before moving to Kansas City, KS, in 1955.  For 27 years, he worked as a yard clerk for the Mack Lumber Company in Kansas City, KS.  Chester had made his profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church, and had attended the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS.  In his spare time he enjoyed doing woodworking projects, and was very knowledgeable about all kinds and types of wood.  He also liked spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Chester was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Martin, Everett C.:
Everett C. Martin, son of Elbert Bertie and Sarah Matilda Dorris Martin, was born Feb 11, 1910, near Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Thursday, May 22, 1997, in his home in Hartville, MO, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 11 days.  On May 7, 1935, he was united in marriage to Alma Emogene Sade, and together they shared the last 62 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Billie Curry; a brother Alvie Martin; and a great-great-grandson.  Everett is survived by his wife Alma of the home; a son and daughter-in-law Bob and Charlene Jones of Hartville, MO; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Jack and Harold Martin, both of Hartville, MO; a sister Verba Lowrance of Lebanon, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised north of Hartville, MO, and lived most of his life in the Wright County area, except for a few years, when he worked in Colorado.  During his early adult years, he drove a lumber truck in the west, and also drove a dump truck.  For most of his life, he owned and operated a dairy farm in the Hartville area.  Everett had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a founding member of the Hartville Assembly of God Church.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and camping, and liked visiting with his family and friends.  Everett was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Mayab, Hubert Norman:
Hubert Norman Mayab, son of Roy Lee and Chloie Vanlaningham Mayab, was born Mar 27, 1919, in Hardy, AR.  He departed this life Sunday, Jul 23, 1995, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 26 days.  On Nov 6, 1943, he was united in marriage to Eva Marie Coday, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Eunice Mayab; and two brothers Clyde and Lester Mayab.  Hubert is survived by his wife Eva of the home; two daughters Sue Coon of Pocatello, ID, and Lisa Ellis of Idaho Falls, ID; one son Terry Mayab of Idaho Falls, ID; two brothers Lawrence Mayab and his wife Beulah of Grovespring, MO, and Donnie Mayab and his wife Peggy of Springfield, MO; three sisters Hazel Hunt and her husband Bob of St. Joseph, MO, Deloris Arnall and her husband Ben Arnall, Jr., of Hartville, MO, and Eula Mae Starks of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister-in-law Lillian Mayab of Grovespring, MO; 5 grandchildren Scott Crew, Adam Coon, Monica Bartlett, David and Sandra Mayab; a great-granddaughter Brittney Marie Bartlett; a special niece Esta Lee Turner and her husband Roy of Diamond, MO; a number of other nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in Arkansas, and as a young boy, moved with his family to Hartville, MO, where he attended school.  After enlisting in the service, he and Eva were married, and at the time of his discharge, they returned to Wright County where they lived for a short while.  For the last 40 years, they made their home in Idaho Falls, ID.  In 1981, Hubert retired from the V-1 Oil Company in Idaho Falls, where he had worked for 25 years.  Hubert served his country faithfully in the U. S. Army from Sep 12, 1940, until Jul 3, 1945.  He was awarded a bronze star and a good conduct medal for his meritorious service in World War II.  He enjoyed working at his home and in his garden, and he especially liked to cook for his family and friends.  Hubert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Melcher, Andrew:
Andrew Melcher, son of Leslie William and Annie Glueck Melcher, was born Feb 9, 1927 in El Campo, TX.  He departed this life Sep 18, 1993, in his home near Hartville, MO, at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 9 days.  On Jan 17, 1951, he was united in marriage to Gladys Irene Jacobs and to this union 3 daughters were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one infant daughter Terrie Sue Melcher.  Andrew is survived by his wife Gladys of the home; 2 daughters Sharon Hudson of Hartville, MO, and Karen Poncik of El Campo, TX; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in El Campo, TX, and lived there throughout all of his life except for the years he was in the military and since his retirement to Hartville in 1978.  For most of his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator.  Andrew served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army from May of 1945 until September of 1947.  He made his profession of faith in Christ as a young adult and was a member of the Hartville First Baptist Church.  While living in El Campo, he was a member of the American Legion.  He was a devoted family man who found great enjoyment in his children and grandchildren.  He liked to do wood working for relaxation, in his spare time.  Andrew was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Burial:  Lakeview Cemetery, El Campo TX.

Moody, Agnes Marie:
Agnes Marie Moody, daughter of Marion and Callie Young Letsinger, was born Dec 6, 1910, near Mansfield, MO.  She departed this life Saturday, Dec 4, 1993, in the Mansfield Nursing Home in Mansfield, MO, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 28 days.  In 1944, she was united in marriage to Murl Myron Moody who preceded her in death on Jan 9, 1984.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers Barney, Emery, Cecil, Earl and Russell Letsinger; and 1 sister Lillie Dennis.  Agnes is survived by a son, Dale Howard, of Joliet, IL; a grandson Donald Howard of Kankakee, IL; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Eunice Fuge of Springfield, MO; a brother-in-law Julian Moody of Tulsa, OK; 3 sisters-in-law Maude, Rosie, and Mabel Letsinger, all of Mansfield, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised on her family's farm near Mansfield and continued to live there until her marriage.  After she and Murl were married, they made their home and worked on their farm south of Hartville.  In 1965, and for 11 years, they owned and operated the Moody Garage in Hartville while continuing to operate their farm.  Following Murl's passing, Agnes moved into Hartville where she made her home for several years.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking and used to like quilting in her younger years.  She was particularly fond of collecting souvenir plates of various places in the United States.  Agnes was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Moody, Joe Altus:
Joe Altus Moody, son of Harry Lester and Veda Aleth Rippee Moody, was born Nov 9, 1920, near Hartville, MO.  He departed this life Tuesday, Jul 23, 1996, in Mansfield Nursing Home in Mansfield, MO, at the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 14 days.  In 1940, he was united in marriage to Betty White, and to this union 5 sons and 5 daughters were born.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Dale Moody; and 2 sisters Wilma Cottengim and Glenna Holifield.  Joe is survived by 4 sons Jim Moody of the Denver, CO area, Phillip Moody of the state of Arizona, David Moody of the state of California, and Danny Moody of the state of Texas; 5 daughters Jo Nagrassas, Carol Cunningham, Patty Sublett, Barbara Fout, and Donna Long, all of the Denver, CO area; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Fred Moody of Springfield, MO, and Jay R. Moody of Lagoon Point, WA; 6 sisters Aleene Wynn of Hartville, MO, Geneva Crowder of Aurora, CO, Peggy Mayab, Sue Johns, and Barbara Johns, all of Springfield, MO, and Beverly Hensley of Madison Heights, MI; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in the Hartville area, and left Wright County in 1937 to join the C.C.C. Camps in California.  He later was sent to the C.C.C. Camp in Shariton, IA, where he met and married Betty.  Soon after they were married, they moved to Colorado where he worked for the Colorado Southern Railroad for many years.  He later worked for Moore Mortuary in Denver, CO, for several years.  Around 1980, he came back to Wright County and made his home near Hartville.  For the last 5 years he had lived in Mansfield.  He made his profession of faith in Christ, and was saved in 1960, and was of the Baptist faith.  He was a quiet man, who greatly enjoyed his solitude.  Joe will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Moody, Lee Howard:
Lee Howard Moody, son of Henry and Della Dorcus Moore Moody, was born Aug 6, 1909, near Smithfield, MO.  He departed this life Monday, Aug 11, 1997, in St. John's Regional Health Center, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 88 years and 5 days.  On Nov 25, 1928, he was united in marriage to Violet Lucille Coday, and together they shared 68 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Lee is survived by his wife Violet of the home; a number of nieces and nephews; a special cousin, who was raised by Lee's family, Lois Dugger, of Hartville, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born in the mining community of Smithfield, near Joplin, and at the age of 6, moved with his family to Wright County.  After a couple of years, the family moved to California in the San Joaquin Valley for a few years.  The family then returned to Wright County, where Lee met and married Violet.  From 1943 until 1945, he served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II.  When he was honorably discharged from the military, he and Violet made their home on their farm, near Hartville, and worked in the stock farming business.  He also drove a bus for the Hartville Schools for about 25 years.  Lee was converted in 1968, and attended the Hartville Free Will Baptist Church.  He was also a member of the Elmer E. Sellers American Legion Post #45 in Hartville, for 57 years.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and quail hunting.  Through the years, he and Violet became very devoted to one another, worked side by side on their farm, and centerd their lives around each other.  Lee was a loving husband, uncle, and brother-in-law, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Moore, Carolyn Jo:
Carolyn Jo Moore, daughter of Cecil and Helen Haskin Harley, was born Feb 25, 1943, in Wendell, ID.  She departed this life May 3, 1990 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO, at the age of 47 years, 2 months and 8 days.  On Jan 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Ronald R. Moore.  Jo is survived by her husband Ronnie Moore of the home; 2 sons Kelly and Brian Moore, Hartville, MO; 1 step-daughter Rhonda McCombs, Iberia, MO; her parents Cecil and Helen Harley, Hartville, MO; 3 sisters Ann Harley, Hartville, MO, Sue Hensley, Hartville, MO, and Jean Griffin, Wasola, MO; 1 grandchild and 4 step-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; also a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in Idaho and moved to the Hartville area with her family when she was 17 years of age.  After her marriage, Jo and Ronnie made their home in Kansas City, MO, and Kansas City, KS, for several years before returning to Hartville, MO, in 1970.  Jo enjoyed gardening, her dogs, and horse back riding.  She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and a caring friend.

Moore, Debra Lynne:
Debra Lynne Moore, daughter of Freddie Glenn and Mary Joe Todd Crawford, was born Aug 25, 1957, in Springfield, MO.  She departed this life Saturday, Nov 30, 1996, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 39 years, 3 months and 5 days.  On Mar 24, 1973, she was united in marriage to Danny Eugene Moore, and to this union 3 daughters and 1 son were born.  She was preceded in death by her mother; and 2 grandchildren Nevin Alva Eugene Widner, and Tonia Lynn Petty.  Debra is survived by her husband Danny of the home; 3 daughters Jody Lynn Hood, Debra Kay Widner, and Amanda Mae Moore, all of Hartville, MO; a son Daniel Glenn Moore of Hartville, MO; 5 grandchildren, Shawna Edna and Nicole Kayla Widner, Kendra Lynn and Brian Eugene Hood, and Ashley Nicole Moore; her father Freddie Glenn Crawford of Bellville, MO; 2 sisters Jo Ann Calhoon and Lesa Marie Clark, both of Hartville, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in Springfield, MO, and was raised in the Mansfield community where she attended school.  After she and Danny were married, they made their home in the Hartville area and lovingly raised their family.  Throughout the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  She centered her life around her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.  Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  Burial:  Little Creek Cemetery.

Moore, Elmer Dwaine "Dinker":
Elmer Dwaine Moore, son of Elmer and Vera Jane Moore, was born May 30, 1938, in Hartville, MO.  He departed this life May 2, 1993, in his home in Hartville, MO, at the age of 54 years, 11 months and 2 days.  He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Moore; 2 brothers Donald and Darrell Moore; his maternal grandparents Harve and Ivah Moore; and his paternal grandparents W. M. and Ellen Moore.  "Dinker" is survived by his mother Vera Moore of Hartville, MO; 4 sisters Dorothy Moore and Barbara Tooley, both of Hartville, MO, Wanda June Street of Mountain Grove, MO, and Diane Woodberry of Kansas City, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Hartville and had lived there throughout all of his life.  Over the years he worked as a farm hand.  "Dinker" had made his peace with the Lord, and had attended the Pentecostal Church during his younger years.  He was a quiet person, but always enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.  He also liked going fishing and watching television.  He was a loving son and brother and will be fondly remembered and missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Oak Grove Cemetery.

Moore, Glenn Raymond:
Glen Raymond Moore, son of Edward and Julia LaFay Yost Moore, was born Aug 30, 1913, at Hartville, MO, at the age of 82 years, 10? months and 18? days.  On Sep 14, 1934, he was united in marriage to Mamie Olive Roberts.  They made their lives together for over 60 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Billy and by one brother Jack.  He is survived by his faithful wife Olive of the home; 4 sons Raymond Moore, Holland, OH, Ronald Moore, Swanton, OH, Michael Moore, Hollister, MO, and Mark Moore, Kokomo, IN; 3 daughters Clara Logue and Annette Niece, both of Toledo, OH, and Daisy Summers of Kokomo, IN; 67 grand and great-grandchildren; one brother Gus Moore, Rogersville, MO; one sister Gladys Meyers, Harrison, AR; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.  Glen was born and raised in Wright County.  He and his family had made their home in Idaho, Ohio, and Arkansas.  Three years ago Glenn and Olive retired to Hartville and they joined the Hartville Assembly of God.  In his spare time Glenn enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting.  He will be fondly remembered by all his family and many friends.  Burial:  Moore Cemetery.

Moore, Louie Gene:
Louis Gene Moore, son of Charles Edward and Thula May Kendell Moore, was born Jan 10, 1925, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Nov 13, 1992 in Mountain Grove, MO, at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 3 days.  On Jan 5, 1948, he was married to Betty Jean Arnall and to this union 1 son and 3 daughters were born.  On Oct 21, 1961, he was united in marriage to Ima Dean Lucas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers Homer, Virgil, Leonard, and Charley Moore; 1 sister Marie Williams; and a granddaughter Tammy Moore on Jul 25, 1992.  Gene is survived by his wife Ima Dean of the home; 1 son Ike Moore of Hartville, MO; 3 daughters Beverly Rhoades of Hartville, MO, Ruth Gatlin of Mountain Grove, MO, and Sheila Diesburg of Fayette, MO; 1 step-son Jackie Lucas of the state of Virginia; 1 step-daughter Linda Rice of Gladstone, MO; 1 brother Paul Moore of Hartville, MO; 2 sisters Faye Massey of Lebanon, MO and Eula Lapell of the state of Idaho; 20 grandchildren 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County and then moved to Kansas City, MO, where he lived for 21 years working in the construction business and where he operated a wood cutting and hauling company.  In 1985 he and Dean made their home in Edwards, MO.  Gene served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy from 1944 until 1946.  He was a hard working man who cared deeply about his home and his family.  Before his health failed him, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.  Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Oak Grove Cemetery.

Moore, Noah:
Noah Moore was born May 4, 1883, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Jan 29, 1992, in the Heritage Park Nursing Home in Rolla, MO, at the age of 108 years, 8 months and 25 days.  On Jun 11, 1916, he was united in marriage to Amandey Cartwright, the youngest daughter of John M. and Dovie C. Cartwright, and together they spent 59 wonderful years.  He was preceded in death by his mother Belle Moore, and his wife Mandey on Aug 1, 1975.  Noah is survived by one sister-in-law Goldie Cartwright of Rolla, MO; 2 nieces Grace Benad of Rolla, MO, and Iva Berry of Eldridge, MO; a number of great-nieces and nephews, including Nancy Hardy of Pacific, MO; several great-great-nieces and nephews, including Ashley, Jeremy and Michael Hardy of Pacific, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised in Wright County and lived there for most of his life.  He and Mandey made their home on a farm near Hartville where they raised and grew most of their own food.  Following the death of his wife, Noah went into nursing homes and was always able to be where some of his family could be near him.  When Noah was a young adult, he found Christ and accepted him into his heart.  For over 60 years he was a Pentecostal preacher and was especially well known in Hartville for his impromptu services on the court house lawn.  He loved music and greatly enjoyed singing his favorite hymns, which he did frequently until his last few days.  Although Noah and Mandey were never blessed with children, they felt that everyone on earth was a child of theirs.  They loved people and had many friends.  At the time of his death, Noah was known to be Wright County's oldest native son and believed to be Missouri's oldest male resident.  He was an only child who never had any children of his own and who never owned an automobile, and yet he led a very long, happy and full life.  Noah Moore will be fondly remembered and missed by all of his family and his many friends.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Moore, Susan Ann:
Susan Ann Moore, daughter of Marve Webster and Sarah Sparks Dugger, was born Feb 22, 1912, in Wright County, MO.  She departed this life Friday, Feb 29, 1996, in Tonganoxie Nursing Center, in Tonganoxie, KS, at the age of 84 years and 7 days.  On Feb 12, 1932, in Ava, MO, she was united in marriage to Homer Moore, and to this union 4 sons were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Homer on Dec 2, 1961; a great-granddaughter Jessica Moore; a sister Arshel Godby; and 3 brothers Travis, Gervis, and Floyd Dugger.  Susan is survived by her 4 sons Homer Moore of Shawnee, KS, Marvin Moore of Bonner Springs, KS, Eddie Moore of Topeka, KS, and Roger James Moore of Cameron, MO; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Betty Lou Worrells of Portland, OR; a brother Hubert Dugger of Portland, OR; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born and raised near Hartville in Wright County, MO.  After she and Homer were married they continued to live near Hartville for a few years, and then lived in various different places around the United States for several years.  They eventually made their home in the Edwardsville, KS area where Susan continued to make her home for the last 33 years.  She was a hard worker outside the home as well as a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.  Susan had made her profession of faith in Christ and had been a member of the Red Hill Pentecostal Church in Hartville.  In her spare time, she enjoyed growing beautiful roses, doing yard work, and browsing at garage sales.  Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.  Burial:  Moore Cemetery.

Moore, Tammy Dean:
Tammy Dean Moore, daughter of Iassic and Patsy Kelley Moore, was born Jul 29, 1974, in Kansas City, Mo, and departed this life Jul 25, 1992, at the age of 17 years, 11 months and 27 days.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Buford Kelley, as well as her paternal great-grandparents.  Tammy is survived by her parents Iassic Gene and Patsy Ann Kelley Moore of Hartville, MO; one sister Donna Michelle Moore and one brother Bobby Gene Moore, both of the home; her maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Patricia and Donald Rogers of Hartville; her paternal grandmother Betty Jean Moore of Hartville; her paternal grandfather and step-grandmother Louie Gene and Ima Dean Moore of Edwards, MO; her maternal great-grandparents Lee and Dot Greathouse of Hunter, MO; also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  After being born in Kansas City, Tammy moved with her family to the Hartville area where she was raised all of her life.  She attended Hartville High School, where she was active in Future Farmers of America, the Pep Club and Band.  She was also a teacher's assistant.  Tammy had taken Certified Nurses Aid training courses at the Laclede County Vocational School in Lebanon.  She enjoyed attending truck pulls and car races in the area with her dad.  Tammy had a special interest in children which brought her joy.  She also had a tenderness for animals which often brought the happiness that she shared with others in her smiles and friendly manner.  As a child Tammy professed her faith in Christ and was baptized.  The memory of a loving, smiling daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend will be cherished by loved ones and all who knew Tammy.  Burial:  Little Creek Cemetery.

Morelan, Olan Bale:
Olan Bale Morelan, son of Lee and Pearl Street Morelan, was born Aug 23, 1925, near Hartville, in Wright County, MO.  He departed this life Saturday, Jun 8, 1996, in the Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, MO, at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 15 days.  On Nov 29, 1946, he was united in marriage to Mildred June Wade, and to this union one son and one daughter were born.  June preceded him in death on Nov 29, 1972.  On Apr 4, 1973, he was united in marriage to Janice Ann Loomis, and to this union one son and one daughter were born.  He was also preceded in death by his parents.  Olan is survived by two sons Jackie Morelan of Hartville, MO, and Olan Dale Morelan of Knob Noster, MO; two daughters Carol Nelson of Grovespring, MO, and Tammy Galbraith of Seymour, MO; two stepdaughters Lisa Engelhardt of Ava, MO, and Tonya Loomis of Garrison, MO; 7 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  He was born and raised near Hartville, and lived all of his life in the Wright County area.  Throughout his life he worked as a stock farmer.  As a young man he was saved and baptized.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Olan will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.  Burial:  Steele Memorial Cemetery.

Morrison, Patricia Merle:
Patricia Merle Morrison, daughter of Benjamin Clyde and Viola Merle Deskin Warren, was born Jun 24, 1929 in Higbe, MO.  She departed this life Jul 25, 1993, in her home in Hartville, MO, at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 1 day.  On Apr 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to Jack Rolland Morrison and to this union one daughter and one son were born.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Patricia is survived by her husband Jack of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Debra Jean and Lynford Kelsay of Hartville, MO; one son Jack Rolland "Rollie" Morrison, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren Daniel and Garrett Kelsay; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was born in Higbe, MO, and at the age of six, moved with her family to Phoenix, AZ.  She later graduated from high school and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.  While continuing to live in Albuquerque, she met and married Jack and they made their home there until the late 1950's.  For the next few years, she and Jack lived in Phoenix, AZ, and then moved to Wright County, MO, in 1975.  They returned to Arizona after two years in Missouri, but later came back to this area to stay in 1986.  She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children and worked lovingly beside her husband in whatever he was doing.  As a teenager, Pat was a member of Jobe's Daughters and later became an active member of the Eastern Star, and the V.F.W. and Elk Auxiliaries.  In her last few years, she dedicated herself to her family and her home.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and decorating her home and was a very creative person who could tackle any project.  Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was a wonderful neighbor and friend.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
